I received two updates over the last week (the latest being for Walk Away Lock). After the walk away update, my truck no longer recognizes my charge location and is charging to 100%. I went through two full charge cycles with no luck getting the FCSP to show up on the truck screen. Also, the WAL "slider" to turn it on and off is not yet present. Any ideas?

Many of us have had the WAL update this week and did not get the slider to turn it on or off. The charging issue has not been mentioned.

I would first try clearing and resetting your home location. Clear it, drive around the block and then reset it.

Interesting, I got the WAL update this morning but thankfully it did not munge up my Home charging location, completed my weekly charge up an hour ago, it stopped at 90% preference.

As said above delete & redo the custom charging profile once the HVB SOC has dropped below your normal maximum.

Delete your home location in the charging settings and re add it. Delete the location, drive the truck around the block and plug in and re-set up the location.

Sometimes this happens when there is a powertrain update happens.

The suggestion to delete the home charging station and add it again causes me anxiety :) The setup of the HIS system is so finicky that I may be opening Pandora's box - oh well, I have nothing to do for the next 8 hours - here goes...

You have the HIS...finicky seems to be putting it mildly according to many others with the HIS, but that's another topic for other threads.

I am hoping I DO NOT get the walk-a-waylock update (2023 Pro) seems to cause issues for a number of people who got it, and I don't need it.

Wish we had a way to opt out of certain updates that are not critical - are you listening Ford?

Okay, I deleted the FCSP from the Ford Pass App and erased the HIS from the truck memory. Reset the FCSP to restart the pairing process - success with reconnecting and pairing to the app. Also, success with re-pairing the HIS to the Truck (back-up power is again available) ...but, the truck still does not recognize my charger for setting max charge (yes, I did go through an AC charge session) . See the photo for the error code.

To fix the location issue, you have either do a master reset in the vehicle or delete your truck from FordPass and add it back (deleting the app wonโ€™t work)

Thanks for the feedback. I understand and followed that procedure unsuccessfully.

1) I wonder if you can you create a new location in your truck menu and then use that for charging to the limit you want (80%?) - you'd be setting the (80%?) limit for that other location which is really the same FCSP, and then just plug and charge; or

2) Maybe create an alter-ego and share the FCSP with that clone. Another FordPass account in the alter-ego's name/email address.

Maybe we can share the FCSP that way? Unclear if possible since Ford says the EVSE has to be "unlocked" before sharing but then says the FCSP can't be locked/unlocked, so go figure.

If shared with your alter-ego, maybe your alter-ego that you share with could have different settings?
----

How do I share access to my Ford Charge Station using the FordPassยฎ* App?
You can share your charger with other users in the FordPass Charger settings. Before sharing, you must unlock your charger.
-----
How do I lock and unlock my Ford charge station?
You can lock or unlock your Ford charge station using the FordPassยฎ* App. This helps ensure your charge station is not used while you are away or are not charging your vehicle.

This feature is only available on the Ford Connected Charge Station and is not available on the Ford Charge Station Pro.
Locking and Unlocking Your Charge Station
  1. Log in to your FordPass App.
  2. Select Energy.
  3. Tap Charge Station.
  4. Press the Lock/Unlock slider.
Note: The Auto Unlock setting is enabled by default, automatically unlocking your charge station when your vehicle connects.
----

Sharing a Charger
To share your charger:
  1. Open FordPass.
  2. Tap Energy.
  3. Select Charge Station.
  4. Tap Station Sharing.
  5. Select Invite New Users.
  6. Enter the email address of the user you want to invite.
  7. Select the charger you want to grant access to.
  8. Press Next.
  9. Tap Invite.
If successful, a confirmation banner message will appear at the top of your screen. The Station Sharing will show the invited user's email in the list of users with station access.

Note: You can remove user access under Station Sharing by tapping Edit next to their name and selecting Remove User.

Maybe there is some reason neither of these workarounds would work?

Just brainstorming.

OTA 10.3.0 removed charging locations and wouldn't allow me to add any back. Three days later it fixed itself.

Ok that worked for someone else I knowโ€ฆ and this might be a dumb question but have you driven the truck since itโ€™s been charged to 100%. If you havenโ€™t, even if you plug it in, it wonโ€™t register a charge and therefore a charge location.

Thanks for brainstorming. I really do appreciate the ideas. I have done numerous trips, taking the charge level below 80%, before recharging.

What is interesting to me is the truck is recognizing the home integration system but not the FCSP. Seems like a glitch. I'll see what happens after a few days. I suppose it's the price of having an evolving vehicle... still love my Lightning @Ford Motor Company
