I convinced her to not plug in every night as it is likely to cycle the battery more fully.
Just so you know, our resident battery expert, as well as basically every EV maker in existence, recommends plugging in every night. It will not adversely affect the battery.

UPDATE 2 Aug: Sorry I'm a little late with the update. I had my service appointment on 31 July. The technician found 4 updates for the GWM (2), TCM and APIM. He installed them all, my FordPass app on my phone now shows many more selections including blue oval network. Great right? Not so fast.
The truck still doesn't show vehicle data sharing and/or vehicle location sharing symbols most of the time. I still cannot open the Connected Vehicle Features menu most of the time in fact on a couple of occasions the selection was greyed out. So, no the truck is not fixed. I've contacted the dealer again and will be making another appointment but I'm keeping the truck to document the issues using pictures and a video.

Several people have reported being unable to access the Connected Vehicle Features menu, including me. My guess is it’s another OTA-introduced bug.

I've never had an OTA. The only updates the truck got was the 4 in the service visit.

The updates by a dealer can give the same software as an OTA. But in this case, it sounds like you had the problem before those updates.

Hi Robert! I can look into your Lightning's screen concern on my end. To get started, could you please send a private message over with the name/location of your local Ford dealer and your Lightning's VIN?

For the first 7 months, I was charging my battery to 100% because of my commute and some of things I had to do after work required a full charge. That has changed and now I don't consume as much of the battery after work. I set the charging location and level to 90% using the truck's display along with a time frame for charging between 11pm and 5am because I leave around 5:45am. However, the charging seems to finish at like 4:30 and I'm losing like 10 miles off the GOM in like 90 minutes because it's outside and the nights are getting cooler in NH. Should I set it to 6am and pull it off before it's fully charged?

As the northern nights are getting colder, it might help to tweak the charge window such that you reach target SOC just before you're leaving at 5:45, I'm not certain how much heat is accumulating in the battery at slower charge rates though, but it's worth an experiment.

Also remember that the GOM is overly optimistic above 80% SOC.

let the script accept the location as detected, it might show a adjacent neighbors address, not to worry, just make sure to park in the exact spot as configured.
Very, very important thing here . When I received my truck over a year ago, I spent a good day trouble shooting this issue and the only work around is that my truck and the ford pass app now and forever will believe that I live at my neighbor’s house (which isn’t even close to my house ) . GPS is exact , but their address deciding mapping data is wrong . I just ignore it now and it works perfectly

Okee dokee, been a while since my last post. As the OP, I tried to keep everyone up to date on the saga of getting my truck to accept input, display all available selections and to do OTAs. So far, I have been unsuccessful.
I brought the truck to a different dealer this past week, they kept it for 3 days and diagnosed the module that controls user input and display, APIM I think, as the cause of all my problems. Since they had to order the module they reset and reinstalled the software on the old module and I have the truck. They will call when the new unit arrives. This dealer also says my truck has all the latest updates for its VIN, but I still don't have things like the SOC on the dashboard tape etc.

Another update. The new APIM was installed day before yesterday. I had to start all over again with the personalization of the truck, PAAK had to be reset, all the connected services had to be reinitialized etc.
Since it's only been two days, I don't know if this has fixed anything except the position and analytics reporting icons are now displayed all the time and the wifi symbol is on whenever I'm near a wifi or home when it connects.

October 11 now. I got the BECM(?) letter the other day. Not sure if I'm going to take it to the dealer or wait for the OTA. Speaking of OTAs, I'm still waiting for my first one. Truck says everything is up to date, but I still don't have the SOC display and probably other less obvious stuff.

I've been using my FCSP to charge the truck. The dial in the charger is set to 80A, I'm using FordPass to limit the rate to 48A. Seems to work pretty well. I have one question relative to the FCSP. If I charge the truck and then don't drive it for a couple of days, when I do unplug the FCSP seems to do a reset, meaning I get the white status bar for a couple of minutes then it goes back to solid blue. Has anyone else seen that?

It's not out to everyone yet. I've been continuously the last to receive an update and I haven't got this yet either.

Don't expect updates in a timely fashion unless it's a critical one.
Ford has been taking a real long time with bluecruise too, it should be near perfect when it rolls out.

Thanks, I'm still very new at this. I've had the truck since July and I've never received an update other than those installed by the dealer either trying to fix comm issues or when they replaced the APIM. Maybe that brought me up to date for those things schedule for my VIN.
