I forgot to ask them to sign it, but I do have a copy of the printout from their system. I have a text message from their system as well. I also had a discussion about it with my salesman and their vehicle inventory manager who is managing all the lightning orders. The assured me that it was their policy to charge MSRP on customer orders. However, vehicles on the lot are a different story. They also don't do any dealer addons like tint or nitrogen in the tires unless the customer requests it.
You might followup with an email, asking them to confirm, just to be safe.

Since you are in Texas, you're good. Keep the printout and if they try to add later, you can prove to the AG that they went back on their deal. Paxton has already gone after one Texas dealer that tried this a month or two ago. (You will have to search the forum to find out details.)

I would encourage everyone to get at the very least a screenshot of your order page where it show 'Difference from Total MSRP' and make sure your order number is included in the image.

With Musk's moves to Texas, the state is under extreme pressure on its dealership protection laws, and Paxton will work to beat down any dealer that takes any action likely to land dealerships in a bad light on the news.

Thanks for the heads up. I went ahead and saved the whole order page as a pdf. That way all the details, including my reservation number and name, are in a single document.

Well, I haven't been following the Lightning scheduling because I didn't expect to get a 2022, but orders are usually scheduled on Thursdays. I don't know how long they are scheduling out, but usual orders only schedule out about 5 to 8 weeks.

I guess it's possible some Wave 7 orders get scheduled tomorrow morning. But it might be a couple of weeks at least.

This is the ninth week since I ordered. Hope to get scheduled tomorrow. Others have been waiting longer.

It makes sense, and that’s what I was kind of wondering. I’m curious, did you order an ER as well?

Yes. however, I carved up order spreadsheet with crosstabs and have not found any single indication of the cause of scheduling delay.

Unfortunately the language in the Ford Order FAQ's leaves wide open the opportunity for a dealer to charge more than MSRP. See wording below (emphasis mine).

I think that getting them to respond in an email is a great idea. Start up an email conversation with them, then work in the question: "You said no ADM, right?" If they respond in the affirmative, you are on much better ground.

What is an Online Order?

By completing the Order Process (“Order Process”), you are not purchasing a vehicle (“Vehicle”); you are placing an order request with your selected Dealer. Your agreement to purchase the Vehicle will be with your Dealer and not with Ford and will be signed at the time of delivery of the vehicle (the “Purchase Agreement”).

To complete the Order Process for a vehicle, you will be required to: (1) create and/or login to your Ford account; (2) submit required information to Ford; (3) select an authorized Ford Dealer (“Dealer”) if a Dealer was not chosen previously; and (4) pay an order deposit (“Order Deposit”) which goes directly to the Dealer.

The Order Process allows you to: (i) configure a Vehicle by selecting an available model and options, and (ii) pay an Order Deposit directly to your selected Dealer. The amount of the Order Deposit varies by Dealer. By paying an Order Deposit, you are agreeing to the Dealer’s estimated selling price for your selected vehicle as displayed in the order summary page, which may differ from the MSRP.

The Dealer’s final selling price may be subject to change—that is between you and the Dealer and will be reflected in your Purchase Agreement. Unless otherwise indicated, MSRP is the manufacturer suggested retail price and does not include destination/delivery fees, government fees and taxes, trade-in, finance charges, dealer processing charge, electronic filing charge, and emission testing charges. Optional equipment is also not included.

An order request sends your vehicle configuration to your selected Dealer who will then process your order request. Dealer acceptance of an order request (the “Order”) only confirms the vehicle configuration that will be built and delivered to your Dealer. Only order requests that are accepted (either online or offline) will be selected for production scheduling. Customer vehicle delivery is subject to execution of a Purchase Agreement between you and your Dealer. If a Dealer declines your order request, you may select a new dealer.

What is the Dealer Selling Price?

The dealer selling price is the price the Dealer is willing to sell the vehicle for in a purchase transaction and corresponds to the estimated dealer selling price for the vehicle displayed in the pricing summary at the time of your online (or offline) Order. The estimated dealer selling price excludes available incentives (including AXZD-Plans pricing for qualified customers), governmental taxes and fees, title or registration fees, and dealer-installed options. All current available incentives (including AXZD-Plans Pricing), taxes and fees will be applied at time of vehicle delivery and prior to signing of the Purchase Agreement.
The final selling price, including Dealer Installed Options, taxes, fees and applicable incentives, will be reflected in the Purchase Agreement.

My dealer (Autonation Corpus Christi) has been upfront about their stance. They said they charged no ADM with the Broncos until they saw their customers flipping them for tens of thousands more. They do not intend to charge ADM, but they are leaving the option open. Now that I have ordered with them, I am going to throw down the "recurring customer" card and tell them I am not flipping mine. We shall see what that gets me.

Has anyone tried to switch dealers after the order deposit is paid?

Sorry for my ignorance here, what does 2022MY Balance out date mean?
The last day 2022's are scheduled to be built. With the 2023's rolling off the next day, that tells me there will be no major model year changes.

Thanks for that insight. I know it is all fun for predictions and many had hoped for big changes, but I believed since day 1 we won't see ANY changes until the new factory opens. Ford is trying to prove me wrong by moving to Android OS, but I'm betting against that still at this point too. I'll see if they can prove me wrong.

There is simply too much investment in what they have to make any changes. This version of the Lightning will look just like this for 3 years.

Yeah similar story here -- been working through my dealership since May and talked through things a ton. Kept saying no ADM and then when I went to order today there's a $10k ADM on there. Sales guys call the owner and he says "I have to keep pace with the market." So now I'm looking for a new dealership. OG dealership was Ford of Upland in Southern California -- any SoCal folks that have a reputable dealership they can point me towards. I know calling Ford may jeopardize my spot, but I'm not paying $10k over -- I'll risk getting bumped into MY23.
So update on my experience, dealer may be willing to lower ADM, but not remove. In the meantime I have another dealer that’s confirmed no ADM and will honor MSRP. Here’s image of their email. Anything else I should do before calling corporate and switching dealers?
