Ford Station Pro and Ford Pass not limiting charge rate.

I have the Ford ChargeStationPro installed, and the FordPass app installed on my phone. I’ve set the charge limit to 20 amp in the app but when I charge it’s still charging near 80 amps at 16Kw and not recognizing the charge limits in the FordPass app is there anything else I should be doing?

I have the exact opposite problem!
my FCSP is set to 80A and is only charging at 8.7Kwh (whatever that converts to in amps)
Not even close to the 19.2 that it should be?
just started doing it in the last week after I did that DC DC and other update?? I have not tried power cycling the FCSP yet I will do that today!

If you're on a 60 amp circuit, you can charge at 48 amps. Position 5.

Your charge rate will depend on your voltage. Multiply your voltage by 48 to get the rate.

7 & 6 settings are unsafe for your breaker and I'll assume the matched rated wire, restore it to position 5!!!

Lucky that you are driving a 2024 Lighting it can not draw more than 48 amps, but the setting 6 & 7 are unsafe conditions if you plugged a higher capacity Lightning or other vehicles capable of more than 60 amps!!

The installer did everything correctly for the parameters of your 48 amp truck charging system.

I changed it to 5 and tested it. It is doing what it should be doing. Thanks for the insight.

It was only charging at 16 because of the software limit, which you changed.

10.4 kW sounds about right for 48 amps. Depending on where you are getting that number, that is at least 220V.

So it appears that FordPass still doesn't allow you to software-set the charge current. With the cold weather hitting, I wanted to slow the rate of charge from 10.4kw (I have a 2024 Flash, so limited to 48 amp max) down to about 4-5kw to allow it to charge slower overnight, keeping the battery warmer against the cold.

But that leads me to ask: if I just keep the truck plugged in and even after it reaches the charge setting (I am using 90% SoC max), will the truck consume power to keep the battery warm if the outside temps get low (below freezing)?

The truck will take care of the battery as required. There’s no reason to fiddle with the charge rates.

I also have this problem. For the last few months, I could adjust charge rate in the app from 80A to 32A, to 20A. These last few days, I can't derate the rate via the app. In the app it says that the setting is at 20A but the charge rate in real time is charging at 16.3 KW, which is the rate when set to 80A. When i try to adjust rate from 20 to 32, I keep getting the error... CHARGE STATION DERATE FAILED. I turned off power to FCSP several times for hours, but after I start it back up, it still won't change charge rate. It stays on 20A, but the flow resembles the 80A setting.

Not sure what else to do.
