This makes me wonder, can you use part of your SR battery to make a portable range extender?
According to the drive and charge guys, it doesnt care if its the gas generator or a battery.

There's one or two guys on the facebook group who claim to have done the swap. They said it was fairly straight forward with just some changes needed in forscan. Though they did mention that early 2022 trucks had some incompatibility with 2023 batteries.

I've been keeping my eyes out for a cheap 131kwh battery to swap into my Pro SR. Hope things go well :)

Very interesting to see if this works out, and what it takes to make everything play nice together.
Keep us posted, following along.

Huh? There’s a difference between the SR & ER shocks/springs? This is the first time I’ve heard that.

what I find psychologically interesting about the idea of a 'range extender', is, well, the range extender now being a 'part' of the truck's range capacity, thereby creating the exact same problem: you have a certain amount of range, and, yes, you can still find yourself saying the exact same thing later: "I need more range".

whether a vehicle comes standard with 240 miles range, or 330 miles, or 500 miles, ultimately, the driver can run into the same 'problem', if there really is one: I need more, or else I might run out.

If a SR truck can be upgraded to ER, freeing up the SR battery pack, then we add the SR pack to an RV trailer between the frame rails, and then install the bed mounted 'charge while driving' plug...

I wonder if there is any programming needed…..
Since FDRS is used anytime work is done to the pack I'd say yes. There is a fill and bleed procedure, and he'll likely need to run the battery health test and other stuff.
