Sorry if this is common knowledge but prior to the new version of the ford pass app, you could always stop a charge session from the app itself. since the new ford pass app came out I have not been able to figure out how to do that. Or do we just unplug it now, which I thought was bad for the battery?

Slide the charge % to less than current soc. That'll shut it off.

Unplugging is not bad for the battery. Are you referring to L2 AC charging or DCFC?

this is at home charging with FCSP. I could have sworn there used to be a dedicated button to stop but I can’t find it for some reason. I looked under the charging tab, maybe I’m missing something.

There is no STOP button unless it is charging. There is a Start charging button under the energy tab, but that not only starts it but says "charge to 100%". While charging, when you then click on Stop Charging, it will stop that process, but MAY resume charging at any point, so if you don't want it to you should unplug it, or ensure your charging limit is set to the right SOC%.

Just got 6.3 this morning. In the energy tab just below the green state of charge graphic there is a big white Start Charging button. hit it to start and the text changes to Stop Charging. hit it again and the truck stops. just did this as I type (from my desktop)

Ok. So my issue is I plug in at night. Then I have my departure scheduled for the morning and it heats the cabin. Once the pre conditioning is complete, the truck continues to charge. In this scenario the app just says Cabin temperature met. It doesn’t show it as charging in the app but it obviously still is because the blue rings are blinking and I can hear it. As long as it’s safe to just pull out while charging I guess there’s no issue, I thought I read somewhere on here that it’s not recommended to do that

When you press the release on the handle, charging is stopped instantly. By the time you pull it out, there is no voltage at the plug.

It would only be charging if it hadn't hit your set charge level.

The FCSP will continue to send energy for 5-10 minutes after the cabin reaches desired condition, if your HVB had already reached it's SOC set point (I'll assume 90%?) the battery won't take much energy while the extra time process continues.

You can also press the unlock button in the charge port to stop the fcsp, at least on my 2023 you can. I press it, hear the relay click off in the fcsp and pull out.

You are not imagining it. Something is definitely different with the latest update. I used to be able to walk up while level 2 AC charging at home, pull up the app and hit "stop charging." The ability to do that is gone for some reason so (uncomfortably) I just pull the plug. Made me cringe.

Ok. Thanks for the input everyone. I guess I’ll just remove the plug and not worry about it.
