I purchased a demo model and was surprised to find out that the warranty date was the date it was put into service as a demo unit. Which meant I lost 8 months on the warranty. I did get them to give me an extended warrant out to 42/42k when I complained about it. But things like Ford nav and BlueCruise where still tied to that warranty date. I don't know if it's treated different with the finance guy driving it vs it being a demo unit, but I point it out to say that I would want it in writing what the warranty date is and have it spelled out at what mileage on the truck/how long after that warranty date my coverage expires for repairs and services.
It varies by state. Some states require dealers to title a vehicle in their name to use as a demo, loaner, or for employee use. If so, that starts the clock.

Since this Parking Brake/pawl recall is not yet available for '22 & '23, are you just sharing that the SYNC update changed the parking brake behaviour (sort of like if the parking brake recall had been applied)?

Just trying to decipher, correctly. My '23 does like yours, put it in gear (almost like stepping on pedal twice) and it auto-disables the parking brake).
Not sure what/how it happened, but if the PB is engaged, then you can't just put it in drive and push the go pedal to disengage it. My 2023 LER(which hadn't gotten any meaningful OTA's for a year, will disengage the PB when you push the go pedal, as it since new.

I'm going to update all the modules via FDRS next week to see if that changes anything. It's gotten all the recent updates thru BC 1.4 etc.

I will definitely post back here the minute I see that update (SOBDMC) show up for my '22 model.
12 Mar 26 is that day apparently. Logged in this morning and voila there's a PCM and SOBDMC update waiting to get applied to my '22 model. So once it warms up a bit (say around noon), I'll get the gear out and knock that out and try the FSA verification to see if these are the two files that recall validation is looking for. If so I'll post here again. Currently there's a "feels like" temp of -4C (24F) outside so I'm not *that* motivated right now.

As an afterthought I checked the VINs of two '23 models listed for sale in an online sales site and both of them also had the powertrain updates available to apply as of today.

Please note that the availability of this powertrain update has not been announced (yet) on the Ford PTS system as of this morning. So please don't beat up your service advisor when you call them and they say they know nothing about this. An announcement should be coming shortly though.

If a finance guy has been driving it for a couple years, it sure seems like the warranty clock would be ticking. If they're offering 36k beyond what's been driven, that's awesome. I would want it in writing though.

He’s in Canada. I have no idea how it’s done there. If this were done in my state, the vehicle doesn’t get titled until sold, so the 3 years starts then. The accrued miles would still count, though.

Let's hope your experience is positive.

Before You Schedule an Appointment for the Recall 25C69 (IPM) Fix -- make sure your dealer has the actual software update needed

So I did the update...but the software verification afterward errored (not the actual update process, that went fine)....and it's pretty obvious why; 1) Ford hasn't announced that the software is available for '22/'23 models yet (even though it's shown in PTS and FDRS, and 2) since it hasn't been announced yet, the FSA team haven't turned on the ability to check to see if it took (the error says 25C69 TSB can't be found). So...it's just too early to get it signed off, but not too early to do the update if you have the means to do it yourself.

After the update the PCM software version now ends in "-GTA", and the SOBDMC software version now ends in "-GA" if anybody is tracking that sort of thing.

Regarding the whole FTCP ('Mannequin' demo/service date issue)...On my '23 GT Mach-E it got put in to FTCP purgatory for 60 days by accident (I expressed an interest to my salesman to trade my '21 model in, and I was literally 24hrs too late, as the '23 model had already gotten put on the program). When I did do the trade 60 days later, my new baseline warranty had been extended to the 42 months and my BlueCruise subscription (I got the 3yrs as it was baked in to J1 cars price) started on the day *I* took ownership, not the day it was first put into service under the FTCP program. If that isn't what happened to you, then I'd call Ford Customer Service and get them to sort it out.

I brought my 2025 Lariat to the dealership two days ago for this update. The service advisor let me know that the update failed and my instrument cluster was no longer working. The update from the team yesterday was they were waiting on Ford to approve replacing the instrument cluster completely. I don't know what troubleshooting steps they performed ( 12v, fuses, etc ) but will post an update once this is resolved or I have further information. Wish me luck!

I have the parking pawl recall on ford.com.
Is this the same as the the parking brake recall y'all are talking about because I've never had that recall If it's separate.
But if it is the same, mine says a fix is not available yet

And of course, I now have the trailer recall. But I'll be waiting for the over the air update.

The parking pawl update for our 2022's & 2023's is delayed

I'll second that request, my service advisor said it was available for my 2022 when I dropped off the truck this morning.
