I've shared more details with the MoCo this morning 'off thread' via DM's, hoping they will get this sorted out and we'll have solutions.

PS: I am resisting doing a factory reset until I hear from the engineering team confirming this will work, allowing the Station ID and Password to be restored to factory original conditions.
The last resort reset, I am holding off doing it, although at this point I have lost all real time communication with the FCSP so couldn't make things any worse I suppose.

It has almost given me the incentive to get around to installing the Emporia Vue3 I bought so I can have the data about energy used FCSP used to give me. I don't charge at 80A so the 50A sensors will work.

Alas...

New chargers for all... I feel bad for all of you that are having issues. Thank you for taking the punishment.

I had a lapse in needing to charge and due to how I set up my CSP it has been powered off and not online, hence avoiding this update. I will keep it this way for a bit longer and use my other L2.

If I do need to use the Ford csp, I already blocked it's Internet access on my network.

Perhaps some need to go into their WiFi routers and see what is being broadcast/sent by their CSP and see if the new name or a duplicate is causing a conflicting ip address/access. You may need to delete one or both from your router/start again.... I did stay at a Holiday inn once...

I cut out a hole in the black plastic under the top cover. I can adjust it with a flat screwdriver after popping the top cover off.

I derated mine to 64 amps thinking, maybe after almost 4 years, something is worn out and the heat generated at full power is causing the derating, even though the temps lately aren't overly hot. Still have same problem. Ford borked the last update. One step forward, two steps back.

I thought about doing that too, but when the app was working no need.
I also though about having a hole for pressing the little red reset button. :)

Maybe you already do this, but...I'd suggest you always use a non-metal non-static tool for adjusting that dial and always do the dial turning when the power is off.

I haven't used one in a long time, but I have one sitting around from when I used to tinker with old TVs and the like - trimpot tweakers they were called for adjusting variable potentiometers (resistors) or variable capacitors and the like...what fun that was!

My router shows the FCSP as having 'off line' status since the glitch happened around July 3 for me.
For a while the set up app would 'see' the FCSP during the search even though the router said it was off line, the ID was correct, the PW was correct, but it would not connect, now it doesn't even see any FCSP at all.

It was weird when it said it couldn't connect - the display gave it a different ID number "SWA12345"

Ford F-150 Lightning FCSP Software Version 2.500.34-ford.27+26-08 IMG_6096-cro

But during the search it never found an SWA12345 and no such device appeared in the router table. It always said "One station found" and showed my station with it's original ID, but then "Unable to connect."

SO I assume that was a 'generic' error message.

Now I don't even get that far, no matter how many times I turn the power off-wait-and then on with the panel breaker.

Plenty of things to do other than fight a losing battle with the FCSP - the original setup was a chore as well...

I'm tempted to make a warranty claim, I have until June next year for the 3 years...but I'll wait to see if Ford responds and has a solution short of that.

Interesting angle, I'll take look, it does seem to be reaching the network, but maybe tight security protocols are a problem, IIRC I turned on an Xfinity feature that is supposed to enhance protection.

UPDATED:

No positive effects turning off advanced protection.

That is a generic graphic, we all see the same image when there is a failure to connect.

My FCSP is talking to my wifi network.

No, this is the very same error I'm seeing :(

What I *will* say, is that my charge station pro started uploading MORE data than usual last night.

As I suspected...

Today my SWAxxxxx shows up on the router table via my repeater, but setup app still won't connect.

Maybe it will get the update or any corrective update now that it shows up again? Fingers crossed.

Yea, I know - welcome to the club.

For the past couple days, I can't connect to my FCSP via the Ford Charge Station app. Prior to these last couple days, it has been very reliable connecting. Everything works via the Ford app (reading power transfer, setting charge max). The FCSP correctly charged my truck Friday evening. My Router reports that the FCSP is getting an IP - which I can ping. My WiFi reports that the FCSP is connected to the Garage access point, it shows the correct IP address, and the WiFi can ping the FCSP. When I attempt to connect to the FCSP via the Ford Charge Station app, it searches for the Station, and correctly finds the station, and the stored password shows correctly, but it can't connect.

A little while ago I killed the breaker to the FCSP for about 10 minutes to see if that made any difference. After waiting for the FCSP to boot up and connect to the WiFi (as verified by both my router and WiFi), I still can't connect.

At least as of the last time I was able to connect, the FCSP has software version:
2.112.125:3.15:3.15:3.15:3.15

I got another FCSP firmware update yesterday that seems to have advanced me beyond anything yet reported in this thread. I still can't derate my charging rate. The only thing I notice (in limited testing) is that it seems to allow me to connect to the FCSP in the Ford app or the Ford Charge Station Pro Setup app noticeably faster than before. Might have to do with something I didn't notice before: my FCSP is continuously broadcasting its SWA SSID, and it has NOT turned off in more than three hours (now) since I first noticed it.

I should note that if I am in my kitchen, about 20 feet away from where the FCSP is in the garage, I can't easily connect, but if I go into the laundry room and am just on the other side of the interior sheetrock wall where the FCSP is mounted in the garage, connection is easy. So, it seems to be more than just being on the same Wi-Fi mesh LAN.

I'm going to take the hit tonight and let it update and see what happens.

Other ideas, Wi-Fi routers, hidden vs broadcasted SSID?. If you had it hidden, allow it to be broadcasted, then check again.

Also verify it's connecting via 2.4GHz.

And lastly double check if your mac address of your CSP is the same.

Not sure who you were directing this to, but I will answer for mine.

The SSID being used is one of the SSIDs I use for IOT devices. It does broadcast. The WiFi access point is about 40 feet away with the only thing between the AP and FCSP is the garage door. The WiFi reports a good signal strength.

Also verify it's connecting via 2.4GHz.
Nope. It's connecting on 5 GHz. According to the WiFi management, the FCSP supports both 2.4 and 5 GHz.

And lastly double check if your mac address of your CSP is the same.
The MAC as reported by the WiFi management is the same as it was when I got the FCSP and put the MACs into my password manager.

As previously reported, the FCSP is connecting to the WiFi just fine, and the Ford Charge Station app sees the FCSP, but can not connect.

Two last tests, turn off your wifi router and walk over to the CSP and see if you in can connect directly with Bluetooth.

And if the CSP app does see the CSP, I am assuming the Ford Pass app does not, then through the CSP app, log in to manage/change settings and reconnect it to the Ford pass App.

...And I recommended the 2.4 ghz because of transmission distance for those having some connection issues all together.

This is likely not a network issue given the fact the FCSP is connecting to others networks and reporting to the Ford app. This seems to be a bug with station identification with the between the EVSE and the CSP app.

My FCSP was visible to the CSP app but kept giving me login errors two weeks ago. Then last week it let me log in for a day. Then my FCSP could not be found by the CSP app. Fast forward to just now, the CSP app can see the FCSP and log in…… Something is very broken.
