So I tried the New Station Setup process and the FCSP is not broadcasting the SWA WiFi signal or at least my tablet could not pick it up, Connecting to the SWA WiFi is necessary to setup a new station.

It may be why the setup app could not connect to the FCSP to manage the settings so I could see the 'About' and see what Firmware and Software version I am currently using.

I will try a reset and then stand right next to the FCSP with my tablet and see if the SAW WiFi signal can be detected.

Result: for a few seconds, I saw the SWA network and tried to connect, but it failed.
I checked the PW for the SWA network and it was no longer saved.
I re-entered it and saved it.
The SWA did not reappear so I will do another breaker-reset and see if it comes back and I can connect.

Well I managed to connect the tablet to the SWA network, but then in the next step, it could not find any home networks - the tablet could but the FCSP could not.

There has been no change to our home networks since the last successful connection, so something happened to the FCSP - what is a mystery.

I don't want to clear and redo the whole setup procedure, but I suppose to reestablish connection I might have to...groan...
Leave well enough alone if you're still getting session statistics, not worth the headaches IMHO.

Maybe my FCSP hasn't gotten the alleged update yet, if/when it does and I see the same logon failures, then we know it's an issue with the new update.

Possibly there has been security control updates to your device(s)?

My Samsung gets frequent core updates at least quarterly and sometimes more frequently, then the various app's change, though the [Ford Charge Station Pro Setup] app hasn't changed since v1.6.1 installed on 4/25/2025

I believe once your device and FCSP are connected together at initial set up then the SWAxxx wifi SSID from the FCSP is no more visible. So unless you factory reset and redo the entire process I don't think you will be able to connect in the set up. That is why I won't bother do it since everything is working OK with the charger. Not worth it but still a mystery to me as well.

I tried to connect to my FCSP through the Ford Charge Station Pro App and was unable to connect. Was getting all the same errors others have posted in this thread.

I tried reconnecting a couple of times but kept getting the same not found errors others reported.

I went down to the basement and turned off the breaker for the FCSP for 5 minutes. While it was off I turned off Cellular Data and Blue Tooth on my phone. Waited about 10 minutes and then turned the breaker back on.

Waited another 10 minutes or so before I saw the FCSP show up in my eero devices list. Tried to reconnect via the app and it worked. I managed to take a couple screen shots of the "Station About" page.

Looks like my FCSP is still using software from when I received it (I think). The "Software Version" number showing up for me is 2.112.125:3.15:3.15:3.15:3.15

Now that I'm back upstairs, I can't connect to the station through the app anymore. Going to go downstairs and see if it reconnects.

I don't think my FCSP has ever updated in the year that I've had it. May try calling the number from the OP tomorrow.

ETA: Went back downstairs, 3-4ft from the FCSP, and it reconnected in the app. Updated the WIFI network just to refresh it and was able to reconnect after it finished (took 5+ minutes). Back upstairs now and was able to connect via the app (with cell data and blue tooth on).

It's really annoying that (a) my FCSP hasn't gotten an update in the year I've owned it, and (b) that this is all so difficult.

ETA-2: I added a spare WIFI mesh node about a foot from the FCSP. Instead of 2-3 bars connected to the node about 6ft above it on the first floor, it now shows a solid 5 bars. Going to leave it alone, and not plugged into the truck, until tomorrow and see if I get the OTA update.

Yes, I think though that it is something to do with the FCSP since it is occurring with other folks who would be unlikely to have the same devices, routers etc, as I do.

Something wiped the history from the FCSP around July 3, so I expect that had something to do with it too.

Well I used to be able to connect in the setup app to se what the "About" info was, the ver. of firmware and software before this problem.

I was able to see the SWA signal by using the add a new station in the setup app and then resetting the FCSP with a breaker off-pause 3 minutes-on sequence, but after that step the next one, find home networks failed.

During the original set up, it took a few tries and resets to get it to connect, but as @TaxmanHog said, since I can still get the "Insights" I can live with not being able to change the max current rate and that it is charging 48A instead of the lower 32A displays.

If I wanted to, I could open it a set the dial to limit it to 32A, but that's a lot of bother.

Congrats on that!

When you say the FCSP app you mean the FCSP set up app I assume?

What a pain in the butt to have to go through all that though to reestablish connection...

The mystery still unsolved is why did it happen to some of us?

Do post if you get the update, then I'll try to get it connected again so I can get the update, unless the update has some negative unintended problems.

I had a saga with first setting it up back in June of 2024. It wasn't until the update to the current ver, of software/firmware came in early March 2025/April 2025 that I could complete the set up process and connect the FCSP to the Ford Pass app. - it would hang on that last step. Customer service was no help then either.

Actually that is the most recent of several updates which have been issued since 2022 when I activated mine, you're up to date like most of us, and waiting for the latest version to hit the street.

Be patient, it'll come at some point.
