There is something off with the picture of the installed battery. In my case I had to turn the battery backwards to that photo in order to connect the positive terminal.

It may be that the OHMMU label was put on the opposite side of that battery, but it could be that battery was installed with the polarity reversed.

Odd for sure? 🤔

Backwards?
Isn't your positive terminal on the right like in this picture ?
If the polarity was reversed I doubt it would have worked at all, let alone 7 months.

No. With + on the right, the label is then on the back. The front is blank on mine.

Agree, I missed that 7mo install.

My original 3-1/2 old 12V is showing 100% SOH and 426 CCA but SOC is usually low after sitting overnight in the cold (35% or so SOC).

It works but past EV 12V experience says we are nearing the EOL. All my vehicles have a lithium jumper pack, but I'd rather not have to use it.

I wish the Ford EVs were set up for H5 Group size. A lot easier and less expensive AGMs. Used by all Hyundai/KIA and GM Ultium EVs.

Regardless of the type of car, I charge battery at 3 years or less. I hate getting stuck.
Definitely a wise way to operate. This is first 12V I've had in an EV that made it this long. I wish H3 AGMs were $129 like H5s.

Weise is a very good aftermarket AGM for EVs but they no longer sell H3 size.

Yep. Learned my lesson twice with my Volvo ICE wagon. I think batteries tote the last 15 years have been designed to expire.

The list price at Ford for the OEM H3 is $139. Pretty close.
That's what I thought but it is out of stock and I believe getting a new supplier. My local Ford dealer is feeling it'll be at least $100 more when available again. You can't actually complete an order on it at Ford Parts.

Well they raised the price alright. My dealers are now showing a list of $189.95 (+ core + tax). One dealer always discounts their parts 10% so theirs is $170.96.

My son needed one on his Mach-E and it was showing out of stock before the holidays. Still shows out of stock online but he called and they have 3 in stock at the new higher price.

Hopefully the increase is just not a reflection of the roller-coaster of global trade/economy, but a result of an actual product improvement.
