So now the e-locker is a standalone option on ALL trims? My goodness they keep swapping this stuff around and it's annoying.

As far as the tax credit goes, all of the rules I saw when I leased in August stated that if you order, put money down on the deal, and sign off on it then you can qualify for the tax credit. The vehicle does not have to be delivered before 9-30-25.

Dang. The enshitification of the Flash trim continues. A $70k vehicle with base model black plastic door handles? Come on Ford.

At least they’re making PAAK an option for the lower trims. That should have been standard from the beginning.
Ok . . . learned a new word today . . . enshitification.....So true! Thank you

BUT, the vehicle does have to qualify. Some 2025s were not put into the IRS database by Ford with zero explanation. No way would you get confirmation of the tax credit eligibility by next Tuesday...

Had a Ruby Red Fusion, a Ruby Red F-150, then Ford discontinued Ruby Red. Rapid Red lacked the deepness. Now, Ruby Red is back...

I'm feeling pretty confident that my 24 Flash was peak Flash because they have deleted things from it ever since.

Ugh, I am glad the Silverado exists, but the weight for that 410 miles I have yet to have a need for is a non-starter. If I had a travel trailer or something I would consider it, but the Lightning is such a better value otherwise. My Platinum is likely lower per month than any Silverado at any trim level I could get right now.

Silverado nonsense aside, I do wish if they wanted to consolidate things they would maybe cut back on the trims. I say this as a three time Lariat ICE F-150 owner who will usually champion the cause of the Lariat, I feel like that trim about has to go. Or the Platinum trim has to go and they put the massaging seats and that in the Lariat for the Lightning.

I am just not seeing the differentiation for the Lariat Lightning anymore now that it loses power running boards, standard ProPower 9.6, B&O Unleashed, stuff like that. Especially since the Flash is offering the very nice ActiveX "leather" already as well. The Lariat is basically ventilated seats and I think the rear light bar and maybe sun roof, right? At least as far as things that you can't get in a Flash. Then the Platinum is nicer leather surfaces, massaging seats, and B&O Unleashed.

So combine the Lariat and Platinum so they are worthwhile improvements.

Or to make the Lariat worthwhile, dump the Flash and bring the Lariat down to its price point while making some things like the panoramic roof and that a optional upgrade. So a flash you can build into the current Lariat if you want.

Then you would have Pro, STX, Lariat, Platinum, and each would have clear differentiation in goals.

This isn't a knock at the Flash or Lariat. When the Flash was first introduced its position made a ton of sense. But Ford has dropped content from both packages in a way that makes them hard to love in the 2025+ as far as it being clear why you would pick one or the other.

Every year I'm more pleased that I bought a '22.
I even feel that way with my ‘23 Pro ER. The only thing that the 22s offer that I couldn’t get (or add later myself) was the iced blue silver color.

Sooo, nothing significantly new for 26' - essentially the same tech as my 22 ER. This platform is 4 years old, and it shows (it's even older if you think about SYNC). GM's got some nice stuff... just sayin'
Should be pretty clear by now Ford is not gonna update this thing going forward. I don’t think they care they’re losing so much money on these things. Why would they wanna make them better at an even higher cost, until there’s another Democrat in office at least , Ford is going back to what they’re better at,gas and hybrid where they can make some money. I for one I’m flas the tax credits are over. All it was doing was making the dealers money.. they were getting more for their vehicle vehicles because of the tax credit now they have to discount them like they should’ve been all along. Can’t wait for the tax credit on leases to expire. As a taxpayer, I don’t wanna subsidize someone’s EV.. They are welcome to have them, but I shouldn’t have to pay for it especially not 10% of it or more. And yes, I took advantage of these myself twice., I’m just saying I think it’s all for the best to get rid of them. Manufacturers will have to make a product good enough that customers want to buy it without subsidies..

I agree with you. I will add a counter-point for say, that as EV driver, I don't wanna subsidize someone's GAS vehicle - so touché! ( ref: https://motorillustrated.com/u-s-fe...ires-as-fossil-fuel-subsidies-persist/163798/ )

Maybe the EV subsidies should be applied "at the pump" - err, at the DCFC's so it is at parity on how subsidies are applied to the Gassers - it would make this argument go away as it is hidden, and not applied to specific EV's, and keeps the credits out of the dealers hands. FWIW, I think Ford has a SOLID produce with the Lightning and Mach-E- I mean, they really hit it out of the park on their first _real_ attempt. I am looking forward to what Ford can accomplish given the right circumstances in the future.

Assuming that ends up being true, that's 90+ days of no production from today. Inventories should dwindle some by then. I hear there are plenty on lots right now.
