I remember a bit ago when it was posted that you could get an additional year cruise free depending on your year I did that but I just noticed today that it says there will be two years at the end of my trial. Was it always two years? And I am not remembering correctly?

See below from App. If I am reading this correctly, my free trial of three years of blue cruise will end next December and then I will have two more years for free after that.

Mine shows that it renews at 0 for 12 months in Feb 2027 which is when my original 3 years would expire. I've had a comma since July and haven't even touched BC since.

What was the total cost for you to get, up and running including hardware and what do you have to pay after that? Any concerns with insurance if you get in a car wreck with it being activated?

24's and 25's get left out to dry apparently.

Maybe when Brian @Ford Motor Company comes back after the holidays can help us understand why we get left out with only a 3 month trial when purchased new.

It's not subscription based so you just have the upfront cost of the device. comma.ai — make driving chill I have a Comma 3x but they recently released a 4 that's quite a bit smaller and is $999 which included the Ford Q4 harness to connect to the IPMA on the truck. Looks like the 4 is under limited support so getting everything working appears to be a work in progress.

One nuance is that something with the length of the usb cable causes reflections in the cable which causes the dash to light up like a Christmas tree as the Comma boots up but there's a coupler you can purchase for $55 that resolves those.. Lightning Coupler Order Page - Blue Pilot

It's not 100% plug and go as it does require some tweaking to get the settings to your liking but I like that it works on any road unlike Blue Cruise. Below thread is long but a good read for anyone interested. https://www.f150lightningforum.com/forum/threads/comma-ai-self-driver-assistant.18266

Ford still wants me to start paying for BlueCruise on my ‘22 Lariat starting in August next year. ☹

I may consider paying for one month if we take a very long road trip. Otherwise no, it's not useful for my commute or around town driving.
Same. I have it until January and have used it on trips and enjoyed it. However, it's not available for my daily commute, so once or twice a year, I may pay for a month.

Paying for just the months I needed it was my intention as well but much, maybe most, of my 13000 miles has been road tripping so I continue to pay. I lost half a trip to, "driver facing camera fault, see manual" but after a night on level 1 1/2 ac charge, it fixed itself. I suspect the problem was overheated cameras as I was headed ENE at near sunset and the sun was on the cameras. A free year or two on the '24 and '25s would sure be welcome, but I understand.
