Yesterday, I was performing some work in my garage, so I hit the switch on my breaker for my EV charger.

My EV charger is this: https://productiq.ulprospector.com/...362180?term=Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment. Bosch E362180. Looks like the image attached.

I finished the work, flipped the breaker back on, but the charger's "Standby" light never came on.
I toggled the On/Off button on the charger itself, but no luck. It would not charge either of my EVs.

I tested for power to the charger, and sure enough, it's charged (ie. I did not hit any lines do any of the work.. in fact, the line to the EV box is all visible so it's quite apparently fine).

Am I missing something? I have troubleshooted all morning long, but can't seem to figure out what to do to get the charger working again.

Any/all tips would be appreciated!

If you measured correct voltage at the point where the wires connect to the EVSE, the problem has to be the EVSE itself.

So the question is WHAT work did you do, and WHY would it impact the charger? Did you use electricity? Maybe send a surge? Or hammer the wall right next to the charger?

Does the Charger have a reset button of its own? Has it tripped?

Thinking it is the charger. No... I did nothing to it or the electricity going to it. Worked around it at all times. 100 percent certain nothing was hit.

I'm wondering if there's a reset switch internally. I took it off the wall and opened up what I could but I didn't see any switch inside.

I appreciate the help.

I hope you looked for a small fuse, too. IIRC, that's a fairly old unit. It may have had a dicey controller and not liked whatever surge it got when you closed the breaker and restored power. Ignore if you've routinely been switching it on and off.

If you can’t find anything on line regarding your problem, I would reach out to Bosch support. They might even have an FAQ page that talks about common problems.

Have you looked in the manual? I pulled it up, and the first thing I noted is a green indicator light is supposed to show up 3 seconds after being turned on. If there is no light, then there's no point in plugging in to see if it works. Are you getting a green light? Or a red light? Or black?

What do you mean "sure enough, it's charged?"

Have you followed the troubleshooting steps? 6.3 in manual.

Could just be "it's time". How old is the charger?

Thanks. Yeah, I did read the manual front to back. The issue is that the power is all on and the green light never comes on.
