OK, now I understand your situation. It seems really odd that Ford would enable keyless access to 5 of the six doors. Why not all?
I guess we still have the question - is this how it’s supposed to work, or is the the antenna for your frunk broken? I don’t know the answer.
It's just this kind of thing that makes no sense with legacy makers. Of course they know the $20K to $40K prices over a pro sell - it's big money in their pockets to make you buy up a level to get that $3 bluetooth receiver added to the frunk area of the truck.

I would venture to guess that just with the very low volume Lightning I bet there could easily be 10K different variations with just the few options we have. The overhead that adds in assembly is insane. Just build a couple of versions of trim, stop the BS. Others have shown it works.

I took my Lightning in yesterday to have all the CSPs completed. I got a texted from the service advisor letting me know they ordered the 12V BMS unit and that it should arrive tomorrow. Assuming it actually comes in, it sounds like the part is no longer back ordered.

I just had the TSB done by mobile repair. Takes only a few minutes to swap out.
Did not have any issues that I know of before the swap, but now the exterior frunk button does not work. Interior button works fine.
The mobile serviced tech was perplexed. He even put the old part back in, but no luck.

Dealer is going to come and get the truck and drop of a loaner.
When they disconnect the battery, the first time you will have to close the front manually. And then I cycled it once from inside the truck and everything worked fine on the outside again. I also had to lock and unlock the truck. At least that’s what worked for me and ours works fine again After this sensor swap

Thanks. Button is working now. Figured out the front button was not working because the Tech must have locked one of the doors. Hit the unlock and the frunk released worked

Exactly, that's very strange.

From everything I've seen so far, yes.

I'm going to install mine today and I'll check the before and after SOC using FDRS to see what the delta is there.
Mine read 100% the day after posting this.

I ordered mine from TASCA and replaced it. I wanted to take the frunk tub out and clean in there anyway. Lots of road dust. And I found out where all those ladybug colonies were hiding as well:

And even more of them when I removed the upper bumper cover:

I also removed the bolts holding the bumper isolator in place so that I could pull out the passenger's side a bit to get to that pesky frunk beeper. I didn't unplug it as some have done...but I did stuff the beeper's cavity with three large biodegradable packing noodles to attenuate most of that annoying beep. Seems to work.

My 22 Lariat SR and 23 Lariat SR both do not have PAAK and also has the Frunk button failure when it’s locked. I always assumed it was because you can click the drunk button from the exterior of the truck they don’t want it opening when locked.
Wow so they further differentiated it by battery size? Or was it to do solely with whether you ordered BC or not?

For '22 and '23, you could get an SR Lariat in trim 510A. They had a free-standing package for Co-pilot Active 2.0 that included BC, PAAK, and Active Park Assist. It was a $2200 option for '22. Here's the 22 Order Guide. Note trim 511A included this package, the ER battery and more (moonroof, Tow Tech, etc..)

My plan is to disconnect the existing battery, put it on a charger and bring it up to a full charge.

Install the revised BMS.

Run the BMS reset procedure, retrain the Frunk & front windows which might forget their positions.

The truck will lose it's perspective of the LVB prior usage cycles and the SOH value may be compromised, but hopefully I can get a couple more years on the H3 before I swap it out for an aftermarket battery.

The alternative, replace the LVB with a brand new after market version H3 install the new BMS and finish up with the recalibrations.
Question for you TaxmanHog: did you try to get reimbursed by Ford for the cost of the new BMS?

I did try to buy the replacement BMS at "my Ford assigned dealership", their Parts Department did not have it in stock; so they looked around for me and told me that a Lincoln dealership had it in stock nearby in town. Went there, bought my new BMS part for $46.21; all happy got home and installed it, all working good.
Then received the official letter from Ford about the CSP 23B70 saying that if the owner had paid for the repair he would be reimbursed. So I tried to get reimbursed at my "Ford assigned dealership", but they told me that I had to go back to the Lincoln dealership where I bought the part, show the Ford letter with my receipt and I should get reimbursed. The Lincoln dealership told me that according to the letter the BMS replacement had to be performed by a dealership ( Ford or Lincoln) in order to be covered by the warranty.
I told them, I paid close to $100,000.00 for the vehicle, that's ok I can afford the $46.21 for the BMS; I just want my truck to be up to date as much as possible.
By the way, with the new BMS I now see my LVB report 100% state of charge where before the highest I was seeing was around 80%.....

Like you, at my first tire rotation I will try to get the local dealership to clear the CSP 23B70 from the list in my Ford Pass app.....
On a side note:
That will be interesting to see how it will go since my assign dealership was not the one that I bought my F150 Lightning from but a competing Ford dealership who a similar Lightning in stock (200 miles away from my house).
The Truck that I had ordered through my Local dealership finally showed up couple of weeks ago after being stuck in production since 08/15/2023. I cancelled my original order and I'm still trying to recover my $600.00 deposit from my local dealership.....

The only good thing out of all of that we (with my wife) really enjoy our F150 Lightning after 5,400 miles so far since 11/10/2023.....
Like somebody posted somewhere in the forum "this truck floats like a Cadillac, drives like a sports car and still have a pickup truck capability".

I had my 12V BMS replaced today by the dealer. Unfortunately, 6.8 is still failing to install. Anyone else experiencing this? My 12V battery is now registering as above 90%

6.8 installed successfully on my truck the same day (overnight) they replaced my sensor.

No, but reading the documents, I might be able to file a claim with the service department, I'll discuss it with them when I bring it in for the next tire rotation, that's when I plan to have them inspect and clear the log anyway. TBH, though I'm happy that I did it myself, saved me some aggravation.

TASCA is my dealer, though the parts depot I ordered from is 20 miles down the road in Cranston RI, while my servicing dealer in in Seekonk Mass.

Now, what you really need to do , is pack up the wife and kid(s) and take them out to their favorite restaurant, possibly, the install will then happen like magic, it's worked for me several times, I think they call that good Karma ??

Same here TaxmanHog. I did it myself before a 960 miles trip from Arizona to California and back; I didn't want LVB charging issues.
