No facts, just my opinion. I feel sport mode is more aggressive. When you take your foot off the gas it just hits harder. I like feathering the gas and knowing I have the extra bit if I need it.
And yes I activate it every time get in the truck.

Can you explain what's better when in sports mode? Are you activating it everytime you start the truck?

Rick
SPORT

For sporty driving with improved performance handling and response. This mode increases accelerator pedal responsiveness and provides a stronger deceleration rate when you lift your foot off the accelerator pedal for a spirited driving experience. Powertrain tuning is altered to maximize performance traction and steering feel is altered to have more torque buildup enhancing driver connectivity and feedback. Additionally, propulsion sound is set to its most aggressive setting. Note: One pedal drive is available and is set to its Sport setting. Note: Propulsion sound may not be available for all trim levels.

I like 1-pedal because I like attempting the 100% regen rate

Hey, just curious how many of you use the one pedal drive. And how much mileage you find it actually adds.
I always use it. I got used to it when I had a Tesla. I don't know if it actually adds anything in terms of range, because you get regenerative braking with or without it. I was just used to it, so I turned it on when I bought my Lightning.

If you're referring to the Brake Coach. I get 100% regularly with two pedal.
I suppose 1PD makes it more of a video game??

It won't however add any range
I'm curious about this comment. Do you mean that regenerative breaking via 1PD does not add any appreciable range or the amount of energy it produces is negligible? If it doesn't add any range, what's the point of it? (Note that I'm not referring to the GOM here but rather battery percentage.)

Edit: after thinking about this some more, my guess is that you're referring to 1PD alone and not regenerative breaking itself. Since Lightnings use blended breaking regardless, 1PD itself won't add any range compared to not using it...

I am on 1PD in the city only in sport mode. Turn off 1PD but stay in sport mode during highway driving as I prefer to coast regen and not give the impression that I'm brake checking every time I modulate the throttle. I confirmed last night that releasing the throttle completely while 1PD is OFF, will not trigger the tail lights. When releasing the throttle, even a bit, with 1PD ON will trigger the tail lights.

I use 1 Pedal exclusively. I don't know or care if it adds more to the range. It therorically should in small amounts, but that is just a side benefit of it in my opinion. 1 Pedal, is just easy and becomes intuitive quickly. Been driving that way for 6 to 7 years.

I'll admit when Tesla first introduced it, I didn't embrace it and thought it was crazy. Old dogs can learn however.

I don't use it. I tried, but couldn't stand it. I also drive an old Ford sometimes and at work I'm always driving an ICE truck, so it's probably best I don't get used to it.
Yeah, very good point. Switching from my Lightning to my work RAM is annoying lol

Yep, slowing in 1pd or slowing with the brake pedal will both return the same energy to the truck.

1pd causing a change in driving style could cause a change in efficiency for any given person, plus OR minus, but then we are not comparing apples to apples.

I think it’s the reverse. In 1PD, if you never touch the brake pedal, you get 100% regen (brake score). Without 1PD, it depends on how good you are at braking to get 100%.
Kudos to you for mastering the brake pedal! ?
