A week ago on Friday night I plugged my 2022 F-150 Lightning Lariat ER into my Ford Level 2 charger as I normally do. The vehicle is set-up to charge overnight to take advantage of SDGE's low TOU rates.
Next morning when I checked my Ford Pass app my state of charge had not changed. The blue charging light on both the vehicle and the charger were pulsing normally. But no energy was going into the battery.
No charging faults, everything looks normal.
I unplugged and tried again...nothing. Tried a friends Blink level 2 charger...nothing. Took it to an Electrify America DC Fastcharger (that I have successfully used in the past)...nothing.
My dealer has had my Lightning for a week and changed out a module as recommended by Ford, but the problem still exists.
Has anyone else had this issue and if so how was it resolved?

Try deleting your charging schedule via the Sync screen.

Then plug into your EVSE again to see if it immediately starts to charge.

If it doesn't, there must be an issue with the onboard charging system, get her into service again for a full check up.

Dealership has it...

Since charging at EA didn't work, it is not a schedule issue.

I had this happen to my old Mach-e while I was on vacation. It stopped charging at the hotel or DCFC. The local dealer where I was staying had it for 12 weeks waiting for a new charge port as there were no parts available at the time. Just before it was going to be lemon lawed, they replaced the part and I was able to get the car back. The warranty paperwork said that one of the "sense pins" (their words) were bent and that is why it wouldn't charge. I have no way to verify that was the problem, but while I was troubleshooting I looked in the charge port and everything seemed normal.

All that to say, check the pins in your charge port to see if anything is bent or damaged. If it's at the dealer, just see if they will let you look at it, or have them check if they haven't already.

I hear that CA has lemon laws that favor the consumer. Become familiar with those laws as a last resort.

Is there a micro switch inside the charge port that also confirms the latch is seated?
If there is one, I wonder if it's not working.

I'd guess it's something to do with the AC-DC converter in the on-board charging circuitry - or its connection to the battery modules - so a warranty fix.

If the J1772 communications was funky I'd expect the charger to report an error or just not pulse (as if it was charging something).

Let us know what the find out.

I had a similar issue; long story short, they replaced the entire charge port.

with the 'blue oval' charge port lighting, and the EVSE operational, I might suspect a FUSE issue on the truck's CONVERTER side of things... it seems to be 'allowing' power to flow in, but not accepting it...

Thanks for all the responses. I've forwarded this thread to my Ford dealer and will let you know how things sort out.

im currently going through this exact ordeal. My issue occured AFTER the dealer installed the recall modules. They said the charge port shot a code and they have to replace it. They said its not covered by the Ford warranty. im being charged a $250 deductible because i bought the extended warranty.

How much would it be without warranty? I’m about to hit 36K miles and debating on the extended warranty - to buy or not buy. Thanks!
