So they're making an off-road version with shorter tires than the street version. Got it...

Color me not impressed. I assume this will get the e-locker in the rear, and that will be a nice feature, but otherwise I see no advantage to it. Ground clearance will be less, not more, and there's nothing else unique about it to aid off-road driving.

I do, however, LOVE those wheels. I would much rather have those than the ugly 20" wheels mine came with.

Interesting to see Ford continues to experiment on the base Lightning platform.
Off-roading is not really my thing - but the fact they continue to experiment with the Lightning line up, encourages me that they are not planning to drop it when the new smaller EV truck is launched.
If it appeals to a segment and sells, good for all of us and the platform.

It will likely stay until they release the T3 in mid to late 2028 is my bet.

OK, I've not had any coffee this morning, so to be blunt, "why?". What's the use case with these specs? The damned thing is not a trail goat (too big), so...what's it going to do that a set of A/T tires and +/- lift couldn't do on existing Lightning?

Yes, really, that's the standard size for the 18" wheel.

I believe the 2025’s no longer have a rear differential lock, unless you upgrade to the max tow package. So maybe this variant also adds that back in a non-max tow configuration.

I like the blue stripe on the grill. If they call it a tremor then the stripe and highlights on all badging should be changed to orange to match the Ice version.

I wish they kept the charge door on PS and added another charging port !, so the truck doesn't block two spaces at DCFC where the cords are too short to reach DS.

I saw a Sierra charging recently and they have DS rear charge port.

New way to market the Lightning to a different demographic of owner. Makes it feel purpose built and tested with the Tremor branding. Good thing to get a new segment interested in outdoor adventuring with the Lightning.
