Stop Safely Now Exit Vehicle in a Safe Area

My truck would not start this morning and had this error message. I plugged it in to charge last night but didn’t charge and won’t charge now. I disconnected the 12V to see if it would recover and it would not.

I see a lot of posts with just the “Stop safety now” message but not any with the “Exit vehicle in safe area” part.

I had it towed to the dealership and waiting for diagnosis. Has anybody else had this issue?

I mean it shows a temperature icon and a battery icon, so you at least have an idea what it is. Your profile doesn't list the year but did you get the battery torque? recall, just a pure guess at the problem.

Your HVB might have a cell voltage deviation that's determined the extra caution message.

I wonder if the dealer had the tow service drop your truck in a isolated section of the holding lot until they can evaluate the battery condition?

they did not. I was with the tow truck driver when we arrived to the dealer and he told us to just drop it somewhere in the lot in the back.

The truck detected a high battery temperature. Could be a sensor malfunction or an overheated component.

That happened to me in my 2023 F150 Lightning Lariat SR while driving it. I stopped in a safe place as directed, shut it off and it was bricked. According to the Ford dealership that it got towed to, the error code indicated a cooling system leak in the battery pack causing a ground fault. It was a very extensive and expensive repair. Warrantee covered everything.
