There is a balancing procedure, from what I've heard it's not difficult, but it is time consuming.

Exactly what I was thinking. That would make it unserviceable if that was the case.

He also said it was just incredibly difficult to find anyone selling used modules. This may change with time, but for right now it’s easier to just find used packs.

Yeah, I was just going off the post, I don't have time for a video until I get to the shop for my window tint. Not a whole lot of people are gonna want or have the expertise to piece out modules for a while.

The pack & modules have serial numbers ..... if they don't match the VIN manifest I would expect a denial on warranty claim.

That’s probably true about the warranty but in this case the truck was at 143k miles and well out of warranty anyways. It’s amazing this pack is so plug and play. Huge bonus points to Ford engineers on this one. And what a cool step by step video.

Yes, you get the extra HP with the swap. I confirmed with Car Scanner.

Alex (the tech doing the work in this video) did this swap for me a couple weeks ago. If I had pulled the trigger earlier this could have been my truck in the video!

I wonder if the newer 2025 123kWh usable packs in the Flash would also work with the older trucks.

Perhaps that would also mean cell packs could also be combined in different size configurations as long as there are 9.

He charged me $750 all in. Would have been less but the pack I bought had damaged connectors so swapping that harness out took extra labor. He had a second set of hand helping on mine and I had the truck back in less than three hours. Was also very nice to have it shipped to his shop where he could unload it from the friend truck with his forklift and he loaded my old pack onto the trailer for me.
