The bed camera on the earlier years have had issues with blue screens when they get hot (sitting facing the sun). Several threads on that - search blue screen. Yours wasn’t a blue screen though. If it happens again, note the conditions. If it might be heat related you will need to keep that in mind when convincing a dealer, i.e., wait until hot to show them.

Regardless, AFAIK the BCM has no interaction with the bed camera so this was very likely coincidental.

So got the update and... I'm noticing no obvious changes? What does this update even do? Disappointingly, the frunk does not close when the truck is locked unlike what the OP's update notes indicate.
