Power got restored about 36 hours after the outage, fully 1.5 days before their BS estimate.

They used 20% running 3 frig/freezers, sump pump, window fans, etc. Cord and adapter ordered for his generator port, which then would power everything but his central AC.

Just hit the Harbor Freight for the PREDATOR 25 ft. x 10 Gauge, 4-Prong Twist Lock 30A L14-30 Generator Extension Cord $49 normal, so usually $42 during % off sales. We use this with the Generac Box and cut over breaker for 60A at 120V net to the service box.

Don’t forget we still can’t route using Tesla Superchargers when using Ford Connected Navigation.

"most" Tesla Superchargers. Some selected few are and have been in there. ..and yes I do wish they all were.

He has a 50amp generator port so we also need an adapter. And just over 30 feet.

I bought this 50' cord and adapter.

I plan on trimming off the adapter ground after testing by removing the outlet ground wire.

Then I will either sell the 30amp generator box or use it myself.

Hi F-150 Lightning owners,

You have been asking for this one for a long time, and I know it has been a point of frustration to have the entire truck powered on just to use the outlets. For those that don’t have this switch yet, I am really happy to share that we are officially enabling the Pro Power Onboard with Vehicle Off toggle in your SYNC system.

This is rolling out specifically for 2022 and 2023 model year owners.

Earlier this year we pushed out Powertrain updates 25.13.12 (2022) and 25.8.5 (2023). A lot of you eagle-eyed forum members noticed that one. That update was the final prerequisite laying the groundwork for this feature. If your truck has already received that Powertrain update, we will be pushing the new toggle directly to your SYNC system via a silent update. You can visit this page to check your recent software update history.

Here is what you need to know about the rollout process.​

When does it start? Deployments begin June 25th

Will I receive a notification? No. This is a completely silent update. There will not be any in-vehicle notifications, release notes, or vehicle downtime. It happens entirely in the background.

How do I know if I have it? Once the silent update completes, it can take one or two power cycles of your truck (turning it on and off) before the toggle actually appears in your SYNC menu. Keep an eye out for it after the 22nd.

How do I use the feature? To enable, navigate to the Pro Power Onboard screen. Turn on the respective outlets you wish to use. Toggle Keep On When Vehicle is Off. Turn off the vehicle.

I know we took a while to get here. Thanks for keeping the feedback loud and clear so I could keep taking it to the software team. Let me know how it works for you once it shows up.

So is this ever gonna come to my standard range lightning?
And how about letting the air conditioner stay on if I open the Frunk?
When I turn on my vehicle to cool and it's 100° out in Texas and I come in from the grocery store to throw stuff in the trunk it shuts the air conditioner off

One quirk was that after he unplugged all the cords, it said he was using 120w. He started the truck, turned off ProPower, and it dropped to zero.

All in all, including driving 40miles RT, we used 51kWh to run his house for 36 hours. So, $10 or so. Not bad, and once we get the cable and adapter end of week, it will run everything but AC (he couldn't run his septic grinder/pump so the toilets had to be mellow yellow).

The new option working well as I type this. Truck is turned off. Whole house A/C breaker turned off. Running a portable A/C on second floor to keep humidity down. Pulling 2200 watts from 7200 maximum (per Ford Pass app).

Yes if it doesn't see roughly 100W after 5 minutes it will shut off.

This limitation makes it useless for most cases, like powering my RV.

As previously mentioned many times, there is a work around that is very easy and solves the problem. Yes, I agree that Ford should at give you the option to disable that timeout, but the work around does the job.

Yes, as I have been doing all along, I'll just be leaving the truck on (and turning off various things and covering the monitors, etc.). I wanted to make my comment as it appeared that Ford was following this thread and wanted to get my feedback in.
