Good to see continued movement. Hopefully you had the hold removed and that is why you changed to built. I have been one day behind you so far, so hopefully not much longer for me too! Still in production here with the chip hold.
A clue for me was the fordpass app -- I had not been able to "activate" -- kept giving me an error, then yesterday afternoon when I tried it actually went to "pending activation" -- so if anyone else is having an error and then it suddenly works, that may indicate that your status is about to change to "built."

Morning folks! Just doing my daily check-in. Glad to see there's been some movement for this group!

Used the Mobile Charger last night since my FSCP won't be here for a couple weeks (I suppose). Got a whole 2mi/hour haha. The truck is currently sitting at a free station in the grocery store next to my office. I will say that this truck is DEFINITELY worth the wait. I know it sucks but you won't be disappointed. There are a few areas that they need to improve on. The shifter feels like complete crap to be honest. The flow to lower the shifter is not clean and is clunky. Plus, "shifting" in to gear just feels so cheap. The screen is taking some getting to used to but I sat it in for about an hour and a half last night setting things up which was cool to click through everything.

Hey y'all, I know I'm not on any of the trackers but wanted share I just went into Built status after being told on chat that I was on a Micro Chip hold.

Dates:
Build Week: 8/15
Blend Date: 8/17
In Production: 8/22
Built: 9/6
Shipped: ????

Hopefully it moves along smoothly for all the others on here being told they're a chip hold too. Fingers crossed it ships quickly but its going all the way to Cali so who knows how long that'll be.

Side note, my ETA slipped almost 2 weeks. Was: 9/12-9/18; Now (on ford order tracker): 9/24-9/30

@djteotancolis: I'll check with chat once they open up to see if they're still showing the chip hold even though I'm "built" now.
Bad news everyone (mainly for me lol), just got off chat with ford and they give me this little tidbit of information when I asked specifically about the previous chip hold:
" That's a great question! I am showing a secondary  Micro Chip At Plant On Hold status associated with your order at this time. "

Called Ford marketing and got the Norfolk - Southern railcar number that my truck riding on. Tracked it through NS and found out that it was in Conway, PA yesterday. Most likely on it's way to Wilmington, DE where they unload and get put on transports. Not quite a halfway point on its rail journey but getting closer. Hopefully it won't take another 5 days for get to it's destination.

Uh oh. The dealership scamming is playing out. Livermore Ford on the edge of the Bay Area, who assured/promised there would be no market adjustments or markups beyond MSRP are now telling me they are going to charge $15K market adjustment. They have been AWOL and useless pretty much the whole order process since getting me to commit my order in Feb, and now I check in with them to tell them my truck will be here in a few weeks, wanting to confirm there will be no bumps/surprises.

I have the order sheet paperwork from them with no charges above MSRP as evidence.

What a bait and switch scam, now that the truck is about to be shipped, and you are locked into the dealership at this stage.

Anyone else going through this, or have advice?

Sorry to hear that. That is crazy. I don't have much advise on how to best handle the dispute, but I know The Ford Store Morgan Hill (50 miles south) guarantees MSRP. Not sure if that helps that far down the process.

That’s awful. I think your only recourse is trying to get as much attention on this as possible using social/local media.
I think I read on here that the CA DA might be helpful if you had copies of everything. I know my dealer has a banner that says MSRP on custom orders on their website. Does your dealer advertise that on their website?

If you have a signed order sheet at the original price, I'd see if your county has a consumer protection division - and/or call your local news station.

If you're not trading in and willing to set up FORD Financing, you might be able streamline the closing process right past them dumping ADM on the deal, you say your online ORDER version shows no ADM, see what happens with online check out the day it's delivered, (assuming your dealer participates in online check out processing)

I do have an original order sheet with no mark-ups above MSRP, but the dealership said 'there's nothing to sign until the truck gets here', despite my asking numerous times over the previous months.

Good advice. I am paying cash though, with no trade in, so on one hand simple transaction, but on the other maybe harder to avoid this?

You could always take the Ford financing with the streamlined closing process and then pay it off in a couple of months.

May be worth it vs paying the ADM. No guarantees they won't try to insert ADM in there but I *think* it is harder for them to do so.

Does your Ford.com order page show $0 difference from MSRP? (i.e. NO ADM)
