Looks like they have a new lightbar campaign? I've not noticed any issues with mine since having the first recall addressed.
Still very new and dealers won't have any info until next year according to Ford.

AFFECTED VEHICLES: F-150 Lightning 2022-2023 assembly Dates October 14, 2021 through March 28, 2023.

US population of affected vehicles: 14,794. Affected vehicles are identified in OASIS and FSA VIN Lists.

REASON FOR THIS SAFETY RECALL According to Ford’s records, some of the affected vehicles may not have the remedy for Safety Recall 23S30 installed correctly.

A complete Dealer Bulletin will be provided to dealers in Q1 2026 when it is anticipated that a remedy including repair instructions will be available to support this recall.

This is now showing on my Ford App, {Active Recalls} list.

My tailgate light bar is fine since it was previously serviced, but I'll let them inspect when the parts are available next year, maybe it will becomes an issue by then.

Not showing in my app yet, but is showing on Ford.com VIN lookup for both my previous Lightning and my current Lightning! I don't see me going in for "inspection" until I have a failure or imminent failure.

Gotta be honest... feeling pretty vindicated right now.

🙌 High Five to everyone that filed the NHTSA complaints to get this addressed properly and hopefully for good! 🤞

That is why you need to do file the complaint. It was BS that Ford wasn't taking care of it. Now, they get to have ANOTHER recall on their list, keeping their #1 ranking.

I'm wondering what exactly "According to Ford’s records, some of the affected vehicles may not have the remedy for Safety Recall 23S30 installed correctly." means.....

I'm guessing either the instructions were vague...or the instructions were fine but weren't followed properly. Mine was replaced already, and I check my lightbar when detailing after the carwash, and so far haven't seen any evidence of moisture intrusion.

And how exactly would an incorrectly applied remedy show up in the records anyway?

Fingers crossed. How does this work if you’ve had a failure and repair?
I've had the replacement done and I know others had had it done multiple times..each was warranty. Since they are doing another campaign I would assume they will replace it under that campaign if it's got water in it when they do the inspection under FSA 25SB6 (Safety Recall) when that's eventually published as a full bulletin.

Assuming the recall doesn't have a window of time in which it would close, My personal advice and plan is to absolutely not go in unless you have imminent or current failure. No use in having them "inspect" something prior to that and then they not "find" anything and then get denied coverage on a potential subsequent failure.

Sorry for the slow contribution here. Confirming that this is rolling out. Once I get my hands on the details (and approval to share) I will in this thread.

I sure hope Ford makes those that had to pay for their repairs whole.

In previous campaigns, I've seen mention of reimbursements for recent paid repairs for other issues, hopefully they offer that for those who have recently paid out of pocket, and fit them with the final version of any improved light module or improved installation procedure if either is the solution.

I've always seen reimbursement options for paid repairs before a recall was issued.

Many years ago I had a Chevy that wouldn't start. I paid for the tow and repair at a dealer. The part that failed was later recalled and I submitted my bill to GM and they reimbursed me in full, including the tow. The recall notice had instructions on how to submit for reimbursement.

If you read the recall carefully it talks about the backup lights flickering or failing.

I did have the light bar replaced under the previous recall , even though it had not shown any water intrusion up to that point.

Interested to see what the end result is here.

Typically on S recalls, that is almost always the case.
