So I feel like I’m taking crazy pills but the weird loose steering feel has seemingly corrected itself for me after about a week or two of driving. It was definitely different right after the front sensor CSP programming was done and I hated it. But I’ve noticed it is back to the normal firm steering feel. So either I’m losing my mind or there’s some kind of relearning process that happens with the steering after this particular CSP is done.
I’ve had a similar experience. I chalked it up to the freshly rotated tires wearing in a bit, but now that you mention it it seems possible the steering feel is changing a bit over time?

This is what I’m experiencing.
I’ve seen on F150 ICE forums about a few settings in the PS Module that can be changed with FORScan, one specifically dealing with return to center. I have not played with this and haven’t researched fully yet.
My lane centering doesn’t seem to be affected as far as I can tell. It has been colder here in MA though so when it warms up again I’ll pay attention to the steering feel and see if that changes anything.

@KHines, @MountainAlive, @Cvh8601 -

Following up here to see if y'all are continuing to experience the faster steering post update? In my case, it was coupled with a bad alignment that forced the issue and had to take the truck back in (different service department). After correcting the alignment, a steering calibration was also performed, but unfortunately failed to fix the faster steering. Scheduled for service again next week to make another attempt at fixing it.

Any feedback/advice would be appreciated. Wish I was more optimistic about it being resolved.

The faster/looser steering eventually went away for me after a week or two of driving. I noted earlier in the thread that I felt like I was taking crazy pills, but something about the way the power steering works changed right after the update, but then it "recalibrated" itself after some driving. I haven't had alignment issues that I'm aware of.

This has been my experience - the steering went back to “normal” after a short while

Appreciate the feedback. Not sure what the cause is in my case, but I'm still having issues and back in for service to address. After an alignment, may be a lingering issue with my suspension post-recall work, so not related to the software update. Glad you guys are back to normal.

Appointment set for Thursday May 8th 7am drop off of my 2022 Lightning Lariat ER to get this done, I'm planning to leave several reminders including a special request to the SM when I drop it off that STEP 11 be completed.

Dang - the pressure is on now. I can't be the last one. I've got to pick a dealer and get it scheduled. Did you ask about the stereo TSB as well so you get the BCM updated?

No, at this dealer we set the date for service with the cashiers clerks, they have a "special book" of time allotments for CSP work each day.

When I make the drop off I'll be able to talk to the SM, and nag him about any other matters that may need attention, and my strong concern they not miss doing step 11.

You're definitely not the last one! I still have to schedule mine, but now I'm nervous based on this thread.

I am going in for this update today, along with my 30K service. At least I know what to expect (ie loose steering) and know it will resolve itself.

This will be a good experiment to see what happens in the days after. If you leave there with new BC, then you have an exceptional dealer. If you don't and you soon get the update after that will be interesting too. Thanks for keeping us up to date.

BC would still require forscan if I'm not mistaken which the dealer won't do. I updated one a month or so back and it didn't have the settings even with the new ipma/pscm.

I doubt they will give me the new BC since that will be configured OTA, however I apparently had a recall on the front trunk according to the service manager. So even though I just had an update (less than a week ago) they will maybe "reflash" that version again. He did advise me that these updates take a very long time, and I won't be called till about 3-4PM today.

Interesting, after I set my appointment for the same service {24B56} got a text confirm my appointment drop off date, they also advised me I had a "RECALL" that might need attention while I was in for service?!

I think they didn't realize that the service was for the CSP-24B56, unless there are hidden recalls or if the service associate is confused about terminology?

If they need more time next Thursday, no problem, spring is in the air an my butt is mostly on the Road Glide now, take as much time as you need.
