At least that has not been an issue for me. As long as I have my phone on the right WiFi (and therefore the right LAN).
Mine has worked for over 1-1/2 years, I did double check everything including the WiFi being the same for my tablet and what I set up the FCSP for, the ID and password, that BT was OFF (tried with it ON just in case), looked at the router (says the FCSP is OFF LINE status), yada yada yada...everything else on WiFi is working fine, so...

My last resort if I cared enough would be to do a red button on the circuit board reset...but I am afraid I would lose the connection with the FORD app - that was a pain in the butt to set up way back when I first installed the FCSP - kept hanging on the last step until a firmware/software update came in early 2025....

Just to be different here, I haven't had any problems connecting to my FCSP through the Ford Charge Station Pro Setup app when I walk into my laundry room and am next to the mesh router on the other side of the garage wall from the FCSP. I am still on the firmware ending in .....3.15.3.15. My station ID does not have the -2 extension. I have set the charging rate in the Ford app to 24A, and it's still reliably charging at that rate in my Home location time window (80A hardware setting on FCSP dial). Since I have a 2023 Lariat and the firmware Brian described in his OP post is for 2024s and 2025s, I'm not going to go out of my way to get it.

As @Aminorjourney notes, getting the FCSP and the truck to automatically perform backup power transfer (BPT) with the HIS unit would be the update that matters most to me. According to @Mike G's post (https://www.f150lightningforum.com/...tcu-update-intelligent-backup-function.38255/), letters about the CSP 26B09 updates to the APIM, GWM, and TCU were supposed to go out to the 23 affected owners on 7/24/26. I haven't received one yet, even though my truck does not perform BPT normally and reliably. So, Brian (@Ford Motor Company), if we never receive a letter but automatic BPT transfer does not work even though manual BPT does, is this the sort of territory that would justify taking a truck to dealer and asking them to elevate a request with Ford on the basis of CSP 26B09 or is 26B09 for only a few trucks for which BPT, whether manual or automatic, doesn't work at all?

I hope yours stays healthy and happy and functioning at 100%...but...

In time, the update may come automatically unless your FCSP is disconnected from WiFI...and if it does, maybe it'll screw up the communication like some of us are now seeing?

Hopefully not, you HIS owners have suffered enough.

Awesome to see!! Mine is failing to connect this morning, the system ID is being broadcast, but fails to login, I will power cycle the unit and see if that fixes the situation.
OMG that is weird! Mine is the same ID as always but still can't connect anymore....alas...

Dear @Ford Motor Company:

We are having problems with our FCSPs.

Sincerely,

Forum members :)
Funny enough, I tried to connect again today and nothing. Shows can’t be found on the network. I really can’t wait to get rid of this POS……

I'm not even bothering trying at this point....lol
The only thing I noticed is my charging rate fluctuation. It starts at 17.4kw since i'm set up for 80A. But then another hour or so later the rate is down to 13kw and stays there probably for a little while like 1hour or 2 and then at some point goes back to 17.4kw. Very unusual. Before that my charging rate was a constant 17.4kw since day 1.

Could the fluctuation be related to the environmental temperature your truck or FCSP is experiencing? (which might have changed over time and with seasons, etc.)

Mine starts slow but within a few seconds hits the 10.4kW power level (about 43A).

With 80A, it could be a heat issue throttling the power, either the FCSP or the truck doing it to keep the HVB and AC-DC converter happy.

17.4kW is a loss of about 9% assuming 240V x 72.5A (72.5A / 80A = 90.6%).

At higher amps, resistance (causing heat and lost power) becomes more of an issue because
Power = I x I x R, i.e., it is proportional to the square of the current, hence high voltage transmission lines reduce waster power.

The heat is sensed in our EVSEs and trucks and kept down by lowering the current and/or increasing the cooling by the truck of the battery and AC-DC converter.

I like a lower current setting to minimize heat losses and to give the 12v battery a longer charging time - seems the 12v battery gets charged during L2 charging : energy = volts x amps x time.

Mine worked fine last summer (2025). It's in a garage and I charge at night so usually cooler than the heat of the day.

Around the time mine acted up we had some power glitches - seems they were nation-wide due to data centers going off line in Virginia - crazy I know, such is AI and Crypto power usage!

Mine is doing something similar. I also can't connect to it to check the software revision because I'm having the same connection issues as chl.

Ford messed something up with this update.

Could be the weather as it has been very warm these past few days but not that different from last year. I don't remember noticing that fluctuation last summer.

I'm still seeing a brief dip ~ an hour into a charging session, not as long as your experience.

After the session was done, I unplugged waited 60 seconds then plugged in again to leave it over night and complete a departure time event while on plug for Thursday.

When I went in to look at the previous session stat's this is what the FCSP status was.... I DO NOT have a HIS system, so it's odd to see such a status! Later I decided to unplug, never got any FCSP charging statistics for this session, though it might be delayed and I'll see them the day after, I'll report back in the morning.

Still not able to log into the FCSP with the setup utility....

Having the same issue for quite some time. I try to charge at a lower amount to sip off of solar during the day. The derate has failed in the app for longest time.

My last charge session Aug 5, 2026, was not logged by the FCSP, can't get the 'Insights' numbers for that session. The session shows up in the Ford app.

At least it still works to charge the truck.

My charge session from the 5th is in my Insights, but not from today, the 6th, when I unplugged this morning.

No insights data from yesterday's charging activity, the database is likely frozen, maybe a reboot is needed at the mothership.
