Place your bets on the over under date when this gets resolved.

I'll start the bidding at ... November 2025
I’ll see you that and raise to: Sooon after BC 1.4 rolls out to 2022 MY.

2024 Flash
I have a 2024 Flash (Dec purchase), and this thread inspired me to experiment. I tested 3 items (see below). For all tests, i got in truck and shut the door, started the truck, turned on pro power to rear outlets, ensured pro power was set to stay on with the truck off, turned off the truck, got out, made sure the item was on, and set a 10 min timer as I went back inside. The exact time I went back out to check depended on commercials. Here are results:

1. Small hanging LED light, like you would use to work on something in the dark, or perhaps to light a camping area. Off at 10 mins

2. Cheap box fan, as you would run to move air in the garage while working. Off at 10 mins

3. Portable blower for dog grooming, set on low air but high heat. Still on at 10 mins, and I waited another 8 mins and was still on. Clicked the bed off button and went off, clicked the bed on and it came back on.

4. After #3, I plugged the LED light back in while the blower was running and it worked, turned off and unplugged the blower. 8 mins later the light was off, and clicking the bed on/off button didn’t do anything.

My conclusion is that the bed outlets do not necessarily stay on when the truck is tuned off, even when set to stay on in the UI. For it to stay on, there must be a consistent load that is higher than a LED light or a box fan. The time to turn off is less than 10 mins, consistent with the OPs estimate of 6 mins.

This is not the behavior that I expected, and would be problematic in some settings.

Excellent experiment. So now we must figure out what that minimum draw is. I still believe that it should not shut off under any normal circumstances. Thanks topher

I thought someone had determined 90 Watts was the limit to stay on.

If you leave the truck on and go to PPROB app, won't it show "<90 Watts" when it is a low wattage device? Then above 90, give you the amount? Maybe check that screen before turning off. I agree it should stay on though. If you have a cooler, it will cycle on and off for instance.

I use this device to measure devices on outlet power: https://www.amazon.com/P3-P4400-Electricity-Usage-Monitor/dp/B00009MDBU
