Wanted to say thanks

Only been a member here a short time but wanted to sincerely thank the members that have responded to my questions and offered advice.

Having been a member of many forums from cars to boats to RVs and off-roading vehicles, I appreciate folks that offer helpful advice. Always seems on every forum there are those few that want to show everyone how smart they are by denigrating others or just be straight up punks. So far I haven’t seen that here and I appreciate when folks try to honestly help others without trying to make them feel stupid or give the response “Google is your friend” or “does your search function work.”

Appreciate all your help and support with my new Lightning.

I recently joined a Hyundai forum for my wife’s new Santa Fe hybrid suv. Straight away I noticed two things:
1) you are correct about the kind of people on this forum. The Hyundai forum has more of the “other kind” you mentioned. I love the Lightning forum and the people that contribute to help us all.
2) This Lightning forum has a great moderator and is well structured to find or ask for information. We have TaxmanHog to thank for that!

I agree. In my opinion THIS Forum has the most mature and polite members of any truck forum.

I'm an old guy who hosted a BBS server at home before internet. Since then I have been a moderator on several Forums.

I belong to another Ford Truck Forum for several years, since I have owned Diesel Superduty Trucks to tow my 5th wheel RV with. The members there can be really "rough". There is a Lightning sub forum over there and several haters from the diesel side post in the Lighting sub-forum. They can be downright nasty and rude.

This forum is my friendly and safe place because of the membership.

Yes, there's a couple of A-holes here but you're right... nothing like most other message boards on different topics.

This is a cool place to chill without a lot of hassle. Good input, by good people, that love their Lightnings.
