Yeah, some of the updates are a bit freaky... the entire truck shuts off hard, like a power outage, and then as the upgrade runs it really makes an awful noise and puts a huge load on the battery for a bit. And just as you're thinking "um, is it supposed to do this?" then it stops and everything blinks back on like nothing happened!

not related to 4.1.2, but did anyone ever see a message on their dash saying, cold weather outside, plug in vehicle when not in use or something like that? I had 45% soc and outside weather was 33F and got the alert on my dash.

Normal. I don't know the conditions that trigger it. The truck would like access to shore power so that it doesn't use range to condition the battery.

Temp's in the vicinity of freezing I've seen it regularly at 32° and lower.

Two questions:

1) I see some mention in previous posts on this thread about getting youtube access -- is that part of 4.1.2 update or 4.1.3? (per the 4.1.3 thread, youtube is one of the new features for that update).

2) What are people doing to "force" an update? I think I saw someone mention that they left the car running in their garage for 25 mins and that did the job? Does it need to be wifi connected and car turned on?

The 25 minutes in the garage was me. I did this because other than the really bad DTE release almost everyone of my releases has installed after a drive. The day this release started I was busy at work (at home) and couldn't go for a drive, but I could start it and let it sit in the garage. I did and it seemed to work.

Would it have received the update anyway, I don't truly know. I just know these trucks seem to really like to update after a drive or while they've been on for a while.

Other than a drive I'm not aware of anyone forcing an update unless you want to invest in FDRS and do your updates manually. That is a thing and there are guys that do that on a regular basis.

Seems 12” display shows update but Android Auto is not showing access to going full screen. Ford Navigation came with that ability which is nice.
I am still trying to find where the software version 3.5.? number is located. My About Sync screen shows Version 22293, Product revision: 610

After this 22-PU1110-SNC-RS update

Hmm, after turning off Automatic Updates, I authorized and received version 3.5.4 this evening after starting out on a drive. It says it is an enhanced version of the previous update above? I wonder if turning off the Automatic updates so I could know when an update was being pushed made this the easiest way to see the update version coming down from the clouds?

"inspecting" https://www.ford.com/support/vehicle-dashboard/?gnav=header-account
shows "currentSyncVersion":"SYNC4 v4.0.22294"

Trying this now. Did you have automatic updates enabled and a schedule set?

Yes to both, but it installed before my scheduled time. This reconfirms what most are noting, this one will install anytime, it doesn't require vehicle downtime.

I still have not had a single update since picking up the truck a few weeks ago.

Old software interface and blue cruise maps still have an expiry date of September 2022.

Hugely disappointed in this process. Dealer visit is the only option I can think of but I heard they don’t know how to fix your blue cruise maps??

This early adopter business can be frustrating at times but I got to say I have no regrets on the purchase. Loving the quiet and smooth ride quality.

I checked my software update and it said vehicle is up to date. I can't figure out if I have it already or not. If I do, I do not see a difference. The current version has a bunch of numbers that do not see to have a simple version number

My truck came in December 5th. It was built by November 21st.

no updates till today. 4.1.1. This update is solely to prep the truck for future updates.

random FordPass app notification today telling me 4.1.1 was successfully updated.

truck was just out and about today. In and out of stores. Not plugged in or in Wi-Fi range.

don’t fret , it will happen.

This is good news - for some strange reason, for this date, Ford uses a different format - that says you are now updated to June 10, 2023 - rather than just April. I've got the same date now.
How do I check my map date?
