So, until I get this update, should I expect my DCFC sessions to not be smooth? Slightly concerning lol...

Just for the record, I assume that the issues are unrelated but several times since getting this update I get a 'Key not detected' error, despite the fact it keeps driving...
I wonder what it broke in the process lol.

According to Ford Mobile repair tech this update also does the trailer recall, and it has been removed from my Ford pass out to anyone else. Check to see if yours removed if you got the OBCC
Still showing the trailer recall on my Ford pass after the OTA.

Well they did mention anomalies might pop up. Nothing out of the ordinary so far since mine updated (knock on wood)

I’ve had it a week and haven’t noticed anything. I haven’t DC charged since. I wonder if they had to update certificates like they did for PaaaK.

I got the OBCC update last night on my ‘24 Flash. On my drive to work the brightness adjustment for my driver display popped up twice randomly on its own and when I reversed into my parking spot the sensor beeps sounded like they were coming from some tiny speaker in the steering column area. Other than that everything seems normal.

I got it last night.
This morning my Ford pass said starting charger?
It was not plugged in, after a short drive it went back to normal and also the recalls are gone.

Should be unrelated. I have been getting "Key not Detected" a lot lately also, well before I got this update a couple days ago. Plus the OBCC shouldn't have any relation to PAAK.

In general, I've found PAAK is a lot less reliable the last several months. I have to take my phone out of my pocket and click on the FORD app.

I use PAAK in my Mach-E and I agree that reliability has gotten worse lately. I also noticed this advice in the Ford app. Maybe it’s always been there:

If I have to have my phone in hand, I might as well just use the fob, which works fine without leaving my pocket.

I always carry the FOB, it's only rare occasions that I don't, like when I just need to back the truck out of the garage to access lawn tools / equipment and all I'm carrying is the phone, which in the past worked well, now that spring as sprung, maybe I'll see the same performance issues....

As flaky as cell phones can be in general (app flakiness mainly), I'd never trust one to be my only option for being able to ride. It can stay in it's pouch on my belt, the key is the only way to fly for me, even if I had paak, I'd never use it.
