The J1772 standard doesn’t include the ability to lock the cable to the vehicle. Only the CCS standard has that.
My Volvo EX90 locks the Ford Charge Station Pro when plugged in. I have to unlock the car in order to unplug the cable from the charge port.

What’s the difference between this and 25.8.5? Notes are the same.

also I find it fascinating that it enables the fob or PaaK to unlock when near the charge port. Does that mean the hardware sensors for it have been there on the charge port the whole time?
What the notes are referring to is that the truck will unlock the port if the button is pressed while the doors are unlocked, the fob is detected (for vehicles with keyless entry), or Phone-as-a-Key is detected (for equipped vehicles).

Not all trucks have keyless entry and not all trucks that have keyless entry have Phone-as-a-Key. So depending on what truck you have, you have 1, 2, or 3 ways to authenticate yourself to the truck so that pressing the unlock button is successful.

So one 2023 reported the earlier version (PT-25.8.5) and now three 2022’s get this newer version (PT-25.13.12). Since this updates the PCM it could give us PPO with truck off (requires Forscan, see my sig). TBD.

Remember, if you get this include your year or better yet update your vehicles in your Account. Thanks to above members for doing that!
You're right! PPOB with the truck off is working for me now. 2022 Lariat ER.

Just got this update (PT-25.13.12) last night. Already had applied the Forscan mod a while ago - and before last night's update, in the Pro Power app the "Keep On When Vehicle Off" setting used to toggle off right after trying to enable it. Now it stays put.

It's an improvement to be able to use PPOB this way, but the implementation is a bit silly. Next time I turn the truck on it toggles this setting back to off. I'd rather it stays enabled until I choose to disable it.

With the way they implemented it I have to remember to go into the Pro Power app and turn on the toggle if I think I might plan to use PPOB while the truck is off.

Great. Make sure you know about the minimum load requirement to keep it on. See this post. What version of Sync do you have - 24127 or 25094? (Settings--General--About Sync)

This update appeared for me yesterday but so far the install has failed several times with the message "vehicle battery was low". My 12V is around 80%, trying to get it up higher with a charger but no joy yet.

To say the least. Even more silly is the way it "automatically" shuts off after ~6 minutes of no load greater than ~90W.

So, let's say you leave a small refrigerator or freezer plugged in. And, let's say it reaches its set temperature of 35℉ and shuts the compressor off. No load on the PPOB and it shuts off next in spite of the fact that I set it to "stay on after truck off".

@Ford Motor Company Y'all need to ditch the load dependent auto shutdown, We've made an informed decision to leave PPOB on for the duration, no pity to knumbskull that doesn't keep tabs on the system and shut her down when no longer needed!!!!!

Dear All, from Ford: We will plan to implement this change “Soon”.

Honestly though, this would be a great thing to track. A good valid request from customers and then see how long it takes for them to receive, implement, and trucks to actually receive the OTA change. With Ford’s timelines it’s got to be at least 1-2 years.

I would also add give us a setting so that if the HVB reaches a threshold of say 20% then the PPOB would shut off automatically to conserve SOC inorder to drive the truck after PPOB has been used. Say to go home or recharge elseware.

On another note I'm sure some of the Ford ppl read these forums. But here's my 2 cents what if we all sent in voice feedback to ford with the exact same request?

Going out on a limb here but maybe we create a small script and have all the members read it verbatem so it rings louder at corporate?

It already has that feature and you can adjust the reserve amount.

Yes I'm aware of that when the truck is on and using PPOB. But i thought when the truck is off but PPOB still on those rules go away ? Maybe I'm wrong the only time I used PPOB for a long duration was when we went camping and I had to leave the truck on all night as I didn't have the truck off feature yet.

Nope, it's a set & forget configuration, won't change unless you edit the manual setting

Ok so with this update will we get pro power with truck off enabled or not? Or do we have to do forscan crap to enable it after we get the update?

That's how my 25 Flash came, have to reset it every time.

You'd still need forscan. Who knows when ford will actually update the APIM with the toggle (see BC and WAL).
