Could use one of these to consolidate & convert from 240 to 120, as a simple run to your camp site or what ever type of operation you will be doing.

In my case, power several items in and near my race pit and trailer, OTOH I might do some comprehensive wiring in the trailer, all connected to a simple load center with a 30 amp external connection at the front of my trailer and in easy reach to the truck bed 240v outlet.
Where did you find that extension cord? Does it really split the 240v into multiple 120v outlets? That might be a good solution for the fridge and coffee maker in case of power outages now that I'm not going with the HIS.

I've forgotten, might have been a generator supply house vendor

I have plenty of solar at my house. I plan to charge up the truck there. Then we have a remote property with well water and welding projects. We've been using a 9KW generator to run the welder and to fill our water tank. Super loud and obnoxious. I cant wait to use the truck. steve

I finally found it on Amazon. There are several options when you finally search the right terms. Interesting concept I didn’t realize that would work for power distribution

Same here. While the home integration system gets all the press, the 240v 30A outlet + transfer switch is still very capable and is a much more affordable option to power your house.
I have a Honda 5000x generator that hooks up to the house via a transfer switch ( I think that’s what this is?) that prevents the power from Back feeding the street.
are you saying that I can use the 240v outlet in the lightning bed to hook into the house the same way the Honda generator does ? That is way cheaper than going with the $9,400 HIS quote I got from SunRun !

Yes. But you will only get 30 A and might have a problem with the neutral. However, if you study the videos with the neutral problems with the PowerBoost, it really looks like it was solved by shutting off the main power to the house. My interlock is going to be on the main panel, so this shouldn't be a problem for me.

Do you have a link by any chance? This will be my approach I think, just run extension cords to essential items in a power outage. A small hassle but rarely happens where I live.

I have about 0 knowledge when it comes to electricity.

Can this welder be run on the 120v bed outlets ? it also has a 220v connection can it be ran on that circuit. And is the plug the correct one to plug into the 220v in the bed with the larger power pro unit or will I need an adapter ?

Thanks

It shows an I1 Max of 43A (240V). You might be able to use it at lower settings, but certainly not at full power. It looks like a NEMA 6-50 plug, so you would need an adapter.
It would be futile to attempt to run it on 120V.

If you need that big of a portable welder, you’re better off going gas-powered.
