Updates on vehicles (with the exception of maybe Tesla) do not work the same way they do on your phone or typical electric consumer device. This is not a Ford thing; you cannot force an OTA for outdated module(s) on any vehicle. They get sent when they get sent. While I understand this method is not ideal, this is not new and this is how it is.

What is it you hope to gain by the modules being updated? Is there a problem with the truck that you feel the updates will resolve? Or do you just want to have the latest firmware for the sake of having it? If the truck is fine, do not let the fact that some modules are out of date ruin your ownership experience.

With that said: There is nothing wrong with wanting the latest and greatest, but the OTA process is unpredictable and unreliable. This is why many of us (including me) opted to take the DIY route and do it ourselves. I loan the cables needed for FDRS for no charge, so assuming you already have a windows based laptop, you will not have to invest much to get the truck updated. Over the years, I have seen countless people go crazy going to dealers and calling Ford and spinning their wheels in all kinds of ways over updates. Like most things in life: If you want something done right, you need to do it yourself. Details to borrow one of my cables is below if you want to take that route:

But what if we need to update the BCM....I can do all the updates but that one.

Unfortunately, that one can no longer be done with FDRS without a dealer login. Assuming the goal of updating the modules is to get WAL, that is the only one you are at the mercy of the OTA process (or dealer) for.

Unless FDRS downloads the files before it gets to the screen where it asks you for the password. If that is the case, you can do the update via less traditional means, but that is a whole different conversation.

Right, that's the one I've been waiting on.

I’m on a 2023 and I also have the same sync version as you. My last update was in September to add the walk away lock toggle to the big screen.
I already had all this shit added with forscan but this update came thru last night for me. First update in a long time. 23 lariat.

Even if that is the one you are waiting on, doing all the other updates will help the cause. If you only have one module with a pending update, when your VIN comes up in the OTA lottery, you'll get that one instead of another one that may preceed it. Any vehicle that has fallen behind for whatever reason would benefit from being manually updated. Once a vehicle is up to date, the OTA process will do a decent job of keeping you there.

I'm pretty sure I'm up to date other than the BCM. I just updated via FDRS July or so of last year. Been crickets for me as far as OTA's since then I believe. Either way my update history via the link won't show anything since it's been over 90 days since my last OTA

Well, that sucks, but can't say I am surprised you haven't gotten it yet.

`So this is what the Dealership managed to get done in 3 days.
The service manager talked to me and said this was everything updated as much as it would go and the software couldn't do anymore.

I am not sure I buy it. I am specifically looking for the 500A charging, WAL and improvements on the Lane keeping.

I am a novice to Fords and my only leverage of returning the vehicle within 14 days expires tomorrow. Anyone have any insight on whether I am fully patched or not?

I gave my latest post dealer ForScan to two different AIs.. One said I was up to date, the other said not (and my underpatched Gateway Module would mean the OTAs would continue not to work).

So I am running out of time and kind of at a loss. Could anyone offer any insight?

I just received the 25.2.1.6.5. last night. Since I have the Pro, much of what is in the described update would not be applicable to my truck

@galstaf They only updated modules associated with a trouble code (DTC) that had a Ford Tech Service Bulletin (TSB). This allowed them to charge the service under warranty. You can Google the specific TSB number and read what the procedure fixes.

They did not scan for any other modules that had an update pending or if they did they declined to update them. The features you mentioned did not come with our trucks originally and Ford has made some of them available through OTA updates to many. But a dealer has no obligation to enable those features. But you could request them as a condition of ownership.

You mentioned lane-keeping improvements. I know you said you don't have BC but do you have the Sync option for In-Lane Positioning under Adaptive Cruise Control? If so, then you have the lane-keeping improvement that is part of that module update.

I may be mistaken but the powertrain updates they did *may* have enabled the 500A charging, need to research that. 500A is elusive. WAL requires an updated BCM that only dealers can do. You really need to go into PTS ($30) and see what modules have an update. Or ask @rugedraw or @Jesse-Infotainment nicely :).

My truck has the same updates available as the ones you just got. But I don’t care. Truck runs fine and the updates are typically minor. We all are both spoiled and frustrated because Ford reveals so much here (allowing owners to use FDRS and PTS) that other manufacturers don’t. I have no way to see the module status of my Hyundai or Honda. Ignorant bliss.

Not sure which update enables the 500A charging, but due to recent cybersecurity changes, I can no longer check for pending module updates. I still have PTS access, but it was nerfed by Ford so I am not able to see everything I used to be able to see with my login.

However, anyone that buys the $28 PTS access will be able to see pending updates.

My 2022 got a bunch of modules updated in late April at the dealer, then an OTA in May for the WAL, then crickets. I know that Ford is waiting until summer to give me the battery preconditioning on the way to any fast charger... Truck was last driven on the 20th.
