Initial range after charge well below advertised range- 2025 Flash

I purchased a new 2025 Lightning Flash. I love the truck however after charging to 100% the range never is above 260- 270 miles- not the 300-320 that’s advertised. Now, I’m not so naive to think I will actually attain that actual range, but I’m not at all pleased that it never gets even close to the advertised range estimate at 100% charge… by a lot. Temperature during charge was 70-80 degrees. When I charge to 80% it estimates total range of about 225 miles, which extrapolates to the same 260 or so. Does anyone else have this experience and should I press for a new battery?
Also, if you are DC fast charging, always prep the vehicle before charging, by using Google Maps or Apple Maps. I don't recommend using FordPass navigation.

Unless your daily routine is impacted by this, I wouldn't worry so much about it. YMMV is the general consensus on this thread with driving speed, elevation changes, temperature, etc all being a factor. Perhaps switch your view to % so that the mileage number doesn't give you anxiety.

This is an awesome vehicle, so hopefully you enjoy it.

Dude, this literally just happened to me last month. It made me crazy but I figured it out. After you charge it up, reset your driving history. Then the next time you have to charge it up again, reset it again. Afyer that you will be fine. Mine was giving me 260 at first. I was going bat shit crazy on the dealer. Just reset it twice. Im anywhere between 315 and 320 now. I think it needs to be cycled a few times. I never had this issue wity my first lightning which was a standard battery but for some reason these extended batteries have some weird configuration that needs to be cleared. Try it and let me know how you make out.

Now that you've figured a way to get the magic number to display, that might be satisfying to at least know there's nothing wrong with your battery pack, but remember .... how you drive really governs real range, hence the historic trends place you closer to a realistic number, remember that value is not perfect either.

You ARE GETTING THE ADVERTISED RANGE.

Efficiency of an internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicle vs an EV is opposite. ICE vehicles are more efficient when driven on the highway than city driving. EVs are opposite, they are much more efficient at city driving than highway driving.

Look at your window sticker. Combined range for city/highway is estimated at 300 miles (not 300-320)

You stated mostly highway driving at 70 MPH.
Highway Economy is 90% of combined Economy per window sticker (65 MPGe vs 72 MPGe) So if combined Range is 300 miles then advertised range for highway driving is 90% or 270 miles.

Are you charging at home or DC public charging? I don't get as much range it seems when I DC public charge. Maybe it's to protect the battery. When I charge at home with 90 percent SOC, at the temperatures you mention, it's over a 300 mile estimate.
The range has zero to do with how you charge, and everything to do with the fact that you are charging while driving at highway speeds. Your actual range is determined not by the range shown, which is based on history and temperature, not by how you charge, but by the speed, topography, and climate in which you actually drive.
