I never had WAL to date, I just went out to see what changed in my settings, the audible feedback (horn chirps) functions were all turned ON after this update, I normally have them off, flipped them to off again. No control switches for WAL are visible.

Once I was done checking things out, I walked away from the truck with my fob, put it away in the house, then returned to the garage, the doors were unlocked as I expected.

BTW, I adjusted the title of this thread removing references to WAL it had previously when we were speculating an undisclosed feature came with this update, leaving only what is stated in the release alert & notification in Fordpass "Convenient Frunk Closing"

Got this OTA on August 19th. Bricked my Lightning. Has been at the dealership service department ever since.
Love the Lightning, hate the software, and Ford Customer Service is the worst.

Walk away lock is now functional. Update stopped my charge session overnight. Disappointed with that.

Same thing. Had to stop at a Tesla station to add some juice. Not convenient when you have a 50 mile commute each way

What they need to do is update the frunk so that it will continue closing if you put it in gear.

Headed out to the local bottle shop to prep for tailgating tomorrow and received notification upon returning home. Everything completed after turning off the truck and walking inside (after choosing "Install Now")

That i have not noticed but still stupid. Same as when you’re SC and you unplug the HVAC goes off and the truck goes into a key on engine off accessory mode. Dumb.

Received this update last night.
As it finished, a FordPass notification triggered on my watch (Android) that my doors locked via WAL. First occurrence of any WAL notification or behavior.
Checked the truck, no toggles present.
Tested WAL, not able to get it to trigger after the initial occurrence.
Enabled the toggles via Forscan - they were toggled off.
After toggling both on WAL now seems to be working.

Haven't tested it in the truck yet, but the app says the BC1.4 update finished overnight.

I did not hook up a charger or tender to the 12V, so that may not be necessary if your 12V is already topped up from driving and/or charging.
