PT-25.13.12 : Charge Port Func. & Cold Weather Performance

I got this update today: ‘22 Lariat. It did switch my Radio to AM, per usual, but remembered all of my FM presets. I didn’t get new pro power onboard functionality that I can tell. But I got the BlueCruse 1.X in lane repositioning toggles but they won’t remain on. So I’m probably waiting for another update to finalize that.

I got this update this week too. This is the update that kept failing due to “Low Battery.” It installed successfully this time.

Alerted about this update this afternoon while I was at the car wash, vacuuming out all the winter sand.

After getting home, I adjusted the install time for 4pm instead of 3pm to allow for an afternoon recharge to finish 81 to 90% done, unplugged around 3:40 and that was enough time for the truck to sleep the systems, I force stopped Ford App and didn't touch it until a few minutes ago.

Successful install!

Mine also keeps on failing due to low battery. But my HVB was at 90%. So I don't know?

Probably your 12v. I had to hook mine to the power supply I use for FDRS to get it to complete.

This update kept failing due to low voltage battery insufficient charge. I tried a 1h idle - failed. I tried a 5h idle - success.

Mine also keeps on failing due to low battery. But my HVB was at 90%. So I don't know?

12v was at 80%. Anyways successfull this morning! But it messed up all my preferences. I had to reset cabin pre-departure and now I can't even set target charge. It deleted Home. Truck was plugged in and charging last night. Instead of stopping at the usual 90% it kept charging to 100%!

Greeted this morning with cold seats......... first clue was that departure timed climate conditioning hadn't started on schedule, so I tapped on the CLIMATE button, after about a minutes delay, error symbol over the button, tried once again, same results.

We did our usual morning coffee ritual, when ready to leave the CLIMATE start button worked fine.

Once we got home, I looked at the CHARGING app on SYNC, sure enough the departure schedule was forgotten and the charging location/settings data was likewise gone, so I'll recreate them this afternoon.

I got the alert after parking at the gym and the message said it would take about 20mins for the update so I hit the Update button even though I wasn't plugged in. I was surprised that the update completed successfully on the first try. I have a cigarette lighter voltage meter and it read 14.68v after the update.

I should note that I installed a brand new Ford OEM battery back in early January 2026 (purchased through Rock Auto $143.09 delivered).

Now...where's my BC 1.4?

Got mine yesterday morning at 1am while it was charging. Happy it didn't stop the charge. Sad it wiped out my location, charging schedule and departure times. Those are easy to fix of course, but I'm just happy to be getting updates again. It's been a while.

I haven't read the entire thread, but was wondering when I'd see a 2024 that got the update. I installed new, larger, H4 battery a week ago. Still haven't seen an update since Nov.

If you could figure out the logic behind why Ford decides to send updates to some trucks and not others, you’d be the first.
