Just showed up in my app today too. If they know it's an issue and they know how to fix it and given the severity, why have they not pushed the fix out yet?

Because it takes time to write and test the software patch.

Got it today. I hope they add an option to always set the parking brake when the transmission is pit into park. I know some people don’t like it but if they make it an option like walk away lock (which I don’t like) then at least we can make our own choice.

Strange, I could have sworn on the previous fordpass app, I had an alert when first entering the app when a CSP or recall was added...at least a message in the app inbox.

Its listed under active recalls, but as you stated, no warning.

I checked yesterday...no "Active recall"...just checked again today...and it is now showing...with no remedy currently available.

Well the app doesn't show anything but i got an email from Carfax saying I had a recall. Does show on my dashboard on the Ford website though.

Mine has updated to say the same. However, Ford Owner still shows it is unavailable.

I have been setting a parking brake for 30 years. Not stopping now. I pull that little lever every time I park so I don’t have to worry about a pawl. I also park on a downward slope toward my garage so I don’t want any risk.
