That's normal. The reason it shows 100% for such long time is because of it's eating the buffer, which is around 8% of total capacity. After that, it will start to eat the usable capacity....
Hmm. Not sure that sounds right. That would mean my battery has lost nearly 11% of it's total capacity which would definitely not seem normal. When I look up data in Carscanner, it clearly shows a difference between SOC and displayed SOC, so the buffer still exists.

Getting nervous with my 2022 Lariat LR battery SOH since it started jumping all over the place.

(dates are estimates from when I first noticed it)
04/01/25 - SOH 100%
04/15/25 - SOH 99.5%
05/01/25 - SOH 97.5%
05/15/25 - SOH 98%
06/13/25 - SOH 96%

4% loss in 10 weeks seems a little extreme given that I've been at 100% for a loooong time until recently and treat it so well. Only DCFC 3 times and keep the charge anywhere from 40% to 70% on the Ford slow portable charger. Truck just hit 30k miles.

Any way I can diagnose the battery modules myself with Forscan or some other tool?

Thx!
Could be BMS drifting is an issue. Basically without going down to near zero, or 100% the BMS can lose track of actual. The SOH you are seeing is what the BMS thinks, and that may not be entirely accurate. Many people charge to 100% occasionally for this reason. I have read that the remedy is to run it to near zero, then in one continuous charge to 100% (meaning it shuts off on its own). This also has the effect of leveling all cells, meaning evenly charged which can throw off SOH calculations as well. Lastly, it's not just battery usage, it's also age of the battery pack, and environment, especially very high temps. But of course you may have a weak cell or two.

Try deep discharge to absolute full charge. Just keep it either end for as little time as possible.

That does seem like a fast drop. Have you had any software updates to BMS in April? I am thinking if it stayed at 100% for that long, may be it has been lying to you all this time and now it is trying to tell the truth a little at a time.

That's a great idea. I have only taken it to about 20% once and I took it to 100% about 4 months ago on a short trip, and then immediately began the drive. I do live in Las Vegas, and it started hitting 105F a day here, so that may have had an effect too.

I also recently had a couple recalls done (front sensors and front hatch control module on May 5). The timing is suspicious...

My dates are estimates of when I thought I saw those numbers. I did get some recall software changes done on May 5th, so the timing is in the ballpark.

I forgot to specify, Level 2 charging is what I've seen specified when going from near zero (below 5%) to 100%.

Let us know the results of you do this Good luck.

what do you use to see SOH with that level of detail? My car scanner shows me only to one decimal point and even that is only 0 or 5.

someone on Facebook reported the app gave 100% SOH when he had a bad module, so I take zero faith in that number.
